Update #4 - Got katfco’s package today! 💙 I put his roomba by the real one and let him find it. He was really surprised and immediately picked it up and started carrying around. We got home right before bed so he’s not had a ton of time with it, but he wanted to take it to bed and when I checked on him a few minutes ago this was the scene. Lots of thanks to katfco for making this guy very happy. ]Update #3 - Got a package from iRobot today! They sent a T-shirt, some stickers, and a nice note. ]
Update #2 in replies with video. 😂
My almost 2yo adores our roomba. Asks for it each morning when I get him out of his crib, tells it goodnight, likes to watch roomba videos on you tube - a really big fan. So I’d like to get him a plush, stuffed roomba. It doesn’t seem to exist, though! I found sweaters for a roomba, videos of a roomba pulling a wagon full of toys, and an Etsy seller who sells walking dead toast plushies (?).
I’ve reached out to a few Etsy sellers who do similar plush toys or custom toys based on your kid’s artwork, but they’ve either not responsed or said it’s not something they have time to do.
Any ideas for other places for something like this? I’m not crafty at all, so doing it myself would be a last resort, lol.

I was going to suggest contacting the Roomba people with the story. You might not get a stuffed Roomba that way but they're probably send you some swag. I can't stop giggling at the idea of a kid playing with a stuffed Roomba though. You should at least tweet to them and report back.

Ha, no suggestions for a roomba stuffie, other than maybe write the company and ask if they have such an item. The first kid I babysat for was in love with his mom's Electralux vacuum for about a year, from 18mo-2.5 years. He was the last of 5 kids, and he would push it around the house (on) as long as you would let him. I think his mom hired me, at 11, just to have me follow him around with it, as he had 3 siblings older than me, cheaper than a maid. Had to be in his room when he slept.
I love karinothing, idea of a roomba birthday party. Have every you know bring their's, and your house will be cleaner after the party.
The boys are getting a joint party this year! Elmo (2yo) and excavators (4yo). I thought about a roomba party, but he loves Elmo almost as much as the roomba, so I don’t think he’ll mind too much.
Roomba was one of his first words, though! Mama, bro bro (brother) and then Roomba. After watching the you tube videos, he now calls it a roombot. I think he heard “roomba robot” one too many times on the videos, lol.

He has a deep love of all cleaning products! We have 2 small coat closets on either side of our front door and we constantly have to rotate which side the upright vacuum is on because he wants to try to push it around. By rotating it, we can open the empty one to show him it’s gone. We are terrible, lol.
He has a mini broom and swiffer and is very thorough! Under their little table they eat at, his high chair, etc. I’m hoping his cleaning skills stick around until he’s old enough to actually be good at it. 🤞

I can't speak for super long-term, but my similar 2yo is now almost 4 and sobbed the other day when I told him we don't have time to clean the windows before bed. Lol
I’m going to have to make a video! For you all and the company.
It really is hilarious to hear him say “Where roombot go?” and “Night night roombot”. Our advice to sitters is to take him to see the roomba if he gets upset, lol.

This makes me happy to hear with my 2 year old whose favorite toy is her broom and dustpan.

I love this. My son loved cleaning tools when he was little. He had a mini Dustbuster and broom, etc. He is 8 1/2 now and is still extremely tidy and organized and a great help with cleaning.
