MCC, you are not a horrible person. You can't always have the energy to deal with other people's shit.
I interviewed for a volunteer position and then never called the lady back with my references because I decided I'm actually far too lazy to volunteer.

I did the same thing. I felt bad but realized I had to make a year committment to this program and I honestly couldn't.
I agree with DDD you can't always have energy. At least you are volunteering on a regular basis. Thats more than most people!

Not wanting to volunteer doesn't make you a horrible person. Howevah....I would still suck it up go. Because 1) you already agreed to it and 2) the clients are the going to be the ones that suffer, not the coordinator.
As for your friend, it is perfectly normal to feel exasperated by someone who is making bad decisions.
That is super frustrating about the volunteer thing. Honestly for tonight I might call in sick. Sometimes we just all have those days.
Done. I feel like a shit though. I think I need something to do that's more for me. Football season is over and there aren't any more sports I want to do until the winter.
Any ideas? I'm already a gym rat.
Don't feel bad at all. It happens. Let's see ideas of stuff to do: -Classes? Cooking, arts, second language -Book club -Make it point to plan host social events at your new place
