I feel like we've probably talked about this, but at the time I was not buying any clothing. I wanted to get some new tshirts at Target today because a lot of mine are worn out or stained. All their tshirts suck! What the hell? They were all super thin or really wide or just seemed like bad quality. I'm annoyed. There's no point to this post. I just wanted to complain.
Anytime someone says they’ve found something cute at Target I always wonder if there’s some secret clothing section I don’t know about. Yes, I’m plus sized, but there was a time I regularly bought stylish, well fitting, affordable clothes at Target. That has not happened in the past few years.

I used to love their t-shirts, and now they are all weird fitting. I have never fit into their pants. I’m a 12 and even in an 8 target pants didn’t work for me.
Target clothes suck now. Period. Everything is bell-sleeved, cold shouldered, cropped, or wide-cut. I wear none of those. And don’t even get me started on the mustard and maybe floral prints on everything...
I haven't bought anything for myself there in a while but before our vacation I'm pretty sure my girls tried on 10 dresses each and absolutely nothing fit them. They're probably average size for their age and the dresses were so big I could see straight through their armpits and down the back. I'm pretty sure whoever made them had never actually seen a child before. It's all that Cat & Jack crap. It's all garbage.

Target’s clothing has been downright awful since they got rid of Merona and launched those new brands. The tanks suck, the tees suck, EVERYTHING SUCKS!
I work from home and wear my Target tank tops a lot and the quality has really gone down, two have gotten holes in them in the middle of the back, not near a seam or anything.
I just miss the Merona shirts. I didn't buy a ton of clothing at Target (although I do like the Cat and Jack stuff for my littlest one), but their tshirts were a staple.
Yeah all the new Target brands are awful. The tee shirts are weird. The tanks are too big in the shoulders but tight everywhere else. The kids clothes...LOLOLOL. Looks cute, fits like crap.
On the other hand I bought a few tanks at Walmart on a whim and I love them. They rebranded all of their stuff, too.
Where are you guys buying clothes in general these days? It seems like everything is just awful!
My wardrobe is like 99 percent Talbots and Lands End, with a handful of graphic tees from bands and such thrown in. My footwear is almost entirely Vionics, except for two pairs of Birkenstock sandals. I’ve really just embraced the midwestern mom thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Harpy, girl I live you to bits and bits but didn't you recently race about your daytime jammies?
It’s crap since they got rid of Merona. I’m mostly happy with the C9 stuff for adults and kids, but that’s the only apparel I’ll buy at Target anymore.
ETA: most of my non-athletic stuff is from Stitch Fix because I hate to shop and can’t dress myself.

Outlier- I just got two pairs of cropped jeans, three swing tanks, and two swingy/flowy "cardigans" from Target. Brands were Universal Thread and Knox Rose. I wore it with my Birkenstocks.
I think their clothes have gotten better recently. I never used to buy clothes for me there.

It’s been awhile since I’ve found something cute to wear at Target. Like PP said, everything is a crop top, cold shoulder or ill fitting. Even the baby clothes have gone downhill.

I'm plus size and it's so hard finding stores that actually carry PS in store so I can try it on before purchasing. My Target's PS section seems to shrink every time I go in. It's like, maybe four racks of clothing. Having said that, I did get a cute dress and tee there the last time I stopped, but 90% of the times I walk through the clothes, I don't even try anything on.

Do you need an intervention? 😉🤗
No intervention necessary. I’m happy with my style. I gotta be me.

So much this! Although I am loving some of the formal prints.

Target is garbage clothes, garbage quality, at a fairly high price point for what you get. I made the mistake of getting two T-shirts without trying on bc I figure “shirts. Easy” wrong. I look like I gained 30 pounds bc of how they’re cut. I’m already chunky so it’s not a good look.

I just tried Nordstrom's Trunk Club (like Stitch Fix) and was pleasantly surprised. I needed some new work clothes, and I ended up with a couple things that I really liked - that I wouldn't have tried on my own in a million years.
I was in Target today, and thought maybe I could supplement some things from there. Nope. Just got some workout shirts.

It's true. Clothes shopping has become terrible. I recently was all excited to go shopping for vacation clothes and found NOTHING. I tried target, Kohl's, several stores at the mall....nada. I gave up.
The only clothes I've purchased for myself in the past year have been through Stitch Fix. I seriously love most of the stuff they send me.
I bought 2 tees at Target recently and washed them the next day. They came out of the wash and it was like the fabric had washed away. It was literally these fine threads and here and there was a little bit of the fabric still there. The rest was threadbare and see through. I was disgusted.
