How comfortable or uncomfortable is the pull out couch bed? Could 1 adult sleep on it ok? Price wise-we would love to rent DVC points to get a monorail hotel, but if the couch bed won't work, we will have to do AoA or another similar price resort.
We're DVC and our last trip we got a 2 BR with my sister and BIL and my parents, and somehow DH and I ended up on the sleeper sofa. It was fine. By no means the best bed I've slept on, but I also didn't wake up with a sore back in the morning.

They are ok. I've slept on one many years ago at SSR and more recently (Jan & Mar 2018) at the Grand CA. I know on the ones at the Grand CA, there is a metal bar that hits right at my hip that could be uncomfortable for some people. My biggest issue with having to sleep on them has nothing to do with the comfort of them; its the fact that they are usually in the main living area of the room (with the exception of studios) and you have no privacy and if you travel with assholes you might have people waking you up early because they need their coffee at 5am.
We didn't stay in DVC but in the Contemporary tower. My 6 and 8 year old shared the pullout. It wasn't a true pullout, about the size of a twin (they share a twin at home as they like to sleep in each other's beds). It worked for them and their stuffed animals. I don't think I would enjoy it. They had that as we opted for a King sized bed (thinking one or both would end up in it) and it gave us more floor space. They stayed on the pullout, we had a huge bed and more space. I'm happy we did it.
If there are more than two adults, get a bigger room. It will be tight.

We stayed at Bay Lake Tower in February and our niece spent the night on the pullout and said it was more comfortable then the regular bed at Coronado Springs, where she was staying with her parents.
