I need to get a new phone, mine keeps overheating and shutting down. I am not excited about any prospects. I don’t love anything Apple or android. Bah. Stupid phone.
I got 4 reports done yesterday, I have 5 more. I’m pretty proud of myself. I might be caught up by Monday.

I saw a video for the new Motorola Razr that is supposedly coming out soon. It looks awesome, and I really hope they make it! This probably doesn't help you if you need a new phone ASAP though.
I am moving on the 3rd and IDK if my landlord is being slightly unreasonable or not. He sent me a list of 10 things I have to make sure are done. At first, it's make sure the place is broomswept. Okay no problem. But then it goes on to cleaning everything to make it tenant ready. Basically scrub everything down. Now, I obviously wasn't going to leave the place a mess, but I had to scrub this place when I moved in because it was NOT clean. He even wants me to run the dishwasher a few times empty so that's clean.
The best one was scrubbing the garage floor to remove all oil and gas stains. Is this one reasonable? I don't think it is, but it's been a long time since I rented so maybe it is. If so, how the heck do I do that??
esdreturns- I just saw a FB post about using Monster energy drink to remove oil from a garage floor. I don't think it's a reasonable request. I think that it would be along the lines of wear and tear for carpet; some staining is bound to happen but if you poured an entire quart of oil on the floor then that would be a problem. I required my tenants to hire professional cleaners BUT it was written in the lease.
I bought a bikini for my vacation at the end of August. In no way, shape, or form do I have a bikini body. And honestly, even if I lose the 20lbs that I'm aiming for prior to vacation, I still won't have a bikini body. I have do idea what I was thinking.

I have a bikini but I also have a rash guard that I put on top. I look pretty sporty for being overweight. Lol.

Oh cool, thanks. I will give that a try. I might have my fiance call his cousin's girlfriend and see if she can come over and clean (that's her job). I'm so stressed out that I don't really want to deal with it. This place still looks really good, I barely hung anything on the walls, it doesn't need to be re-painted. I guess I'm just annoyed that it wasn't "tenant-ready" for me, but I have to make it so for the next person. *sigh*

You know what? Good for you. I say you rock that bikini. Who is to say what a bikini body is anyway?
We reserved a Telsa model 3 back in May, and weren't expecting to take delivery until 1st quarter 2019. H got the email last night that they are ready to make our car, and that he needed to pick his options. Once he does that, (he did so this morning) estimated delivery gets moved up to Sept/Oct.
I hang out on a Telsa-focused message board, and lots of people got invites to configure. Many are getting delivery windows from 2-4 wks! 😯
I'm having work annoyances today. I'm ready to get out of here and it isn't even 9:30 yet!
Leeham Rimes, I really like my Pixel 2, the battery life is amazing. esdreturns, the scrubbing the garage floor definitely sounds like something beyond what he should reasonably expect.
esdreturns, Check your lease. Mine very clearly stated what my responsibilities were when I moved out, and all it really said was "Broomswept" and a few other EXPECTED things like carpets vacuumed, toilets flushed (ew, the fact that they even needed to put that in). Clean garage floor? Yeah, no.
The closer I get to leaving for vacation, the more anxiety I feel about boarding my dog. I have this fear that I’ll get home and Kappy won’t remember me and we’ll be back to square one. He’s come SO far since 10 months ago, and I don’t want to go back.
I have a job interview this morning that I was just invited to yesterday. I’m so nervous. Ughhh, I wish I could just find a damn job already so I don’t have to interview anymore.

Thanks, I didn't even think of this. It doesn't say anything besides I have to make sure all my stuff is gone.

I hear you. My one dog is a ball of nerves, doesn't do well with change, and doesn't really like new people. She does however love our babysitter, so we ended up hiring her to housesit/dogsit while we go on vacation, I figure the less of my dogs routine that I need to change the better.

Given that none of this is in your lease, I'm not sure I'd do it. I put the professional cleaning in the lease when one tenant's version of clean wasn't even close to actually being clean. I paid for a professional cleaning for the next tenant and then required it for all future tenants. I hated moving into dirty places.
I have jury duty today. They called in 1,200 people! The place is packed. Hopefully if I get picked for a jury it will be a short trial, we have that wedding this weekend and won’t be back until late Monday. If I have to report, I guess I won’t go to the wedding? Our jury duty is one day or one trial.
I am struggling a little. I little teary eyed and emotional. So as mentioned I have to go to a funeral on Tuesday. My husband told me all week he was not able to attend since he has a big project deployment. I get it. I wasn't happy but I dealt with it and I had plans to go with my brother and bring my 8 year old daughter. I told him all of this. So yesterday he was like well looks I can go if you want to wait till 4 pm on Monday. Which means I would miss the viewing since it's on Monday. I was like I really can't. I have already told my dad and my Aunt I would be there to attend and be with the family. Then he is all well I can send you by plane with your brother and then head up later that evening. Which isn't terrible but that would mean I would have no escape route and no vehicle and I wanted my daughter there. He told me would discuss later.
Immediately I get in the car with him yesterday and he starts telling me that I am not ALLOWED to drive down there with "his" daughter and that he never gave his permission to do so. You should have seen the flames going out of my head and the heard the cursing coming out of my mouth. I am a good driver and not even one ticket. I drive the speed limit and I have driven the route before with my brother. I was absolutely insulted. I have not talked to him sense but I basically told him I am still going on Monday with my kid. I really don't want him there at all if he is going to be like that. He has also been super distracted with his phone lately. It's the world cup and all. So it's not like he will be all that supportive.
So basically all the feelings are happening and I feel like I need a break from everything.

Nope. I reject this line of thinking. You wear what you want and what makes you happy, and you do it for you - no one else. I go on a lot of beach trips, and I see all body types in 2 piece suits. You rock that bikini and have an awesome time!

picaflora my coworker got his not long ago and I went for a ride in it - I am obsessed! It is so nice. I definitely am interested in getting one of them.
The most ridiculous thing happened on Monday. I went into my bosses office crying, doubled over in pain - knowing that something is wrong with my organs and I was going to die (mind you, I'm on immunotherapy for melanoma). Anyway, I convinced him to let me drive myself to the walk-in clinic (he offered to take me and also to call an Uber for me)...well, it was gas pain. Talk about feeling SO dumb. But holy shit that stuff is no joke. I think it has finally subsided. I can't help but laugh about the situation now.
I have my last double medication immunotherapy this afternoon. The side effects have been so manageable, so I'm looking forward to having this part behind me. Apparently when I start the single medication treatment, side effects are even less. I have scans on the 9th and I'm trying to avoid stressing about it. At this point, it is what it is.
This week has been nuts at work (we're short-staffed due to work travel and vacations), DH is OOT and I didn't schedule a camp for my kids this week -- I had planned to use this week to see how things would go with them entertaining themselves while I WAH, not knowing that this week was going to end up being one where I would have to both work and parent without the support I usually have.
I'm so over it. Done, done, done. The kids have been fine, mostly (they're 8 and 10) but I ran out of energy and bandwidth for fun stuff yesterday and I just want DH home and my coworkers to all come back and to not feel like I am behind on 110% of my life.
Glad I came in and read that Monster drink post about removing oil. My H spilled oil on the drive out front (we live in a condo) and I am totally trying it, hope it works.
My random: DH & I went old school and started a Christmas Club account back in January. I am so excited, I have almost $1000 now. Should be at about 1500 come October 1 and it deposits into my account. I was sick and tired of stressing out over the holidays about money.

How to get a bikini body in 1 step: Put a bikini on your body. Walla! Rock it, my friend.

I have a procedure to write for work and it is not my "area" and I'm just kind of winging it based on some basic instructions from my boss and some guidelines she provided. By winging it, of course I mean procrastinating.
I am so annoyed with myself. I procrastinated on something for work that absolutely had to be done today, then stressed myself sick about putting it off and how I was going it done on time. I did it in less than two hours this morning. There was no reason to put it off and no reason to be stressed about it. What is wrong with me?
Kitchen work crew foreman told me yesterday that he thought they would probably be done today, and if not they'd come finish it up tomorrow. I'm so excited to get to put everything back where it goes! I still can't believe how fast they worked- it's taken two guys just barely over three weeks to totally gut and rebuild the whole kitchen, with occasional work from the electrician and the countertop installers.
It’s my last day of work before vacation and I am so ready to get out of here. My boss is out which is also nice bc he’s being quite the dumbass lately and everyone in the office is over it.

Do you have pictures from when you moved in? I know in a California that security deposit state law specifically says that a rental only needs to be cleaned to the same state it was when a tenant moved in.

Uggggh cell phone companies are the pits. I went in but all the deals are only for new customers. “Thanks for your loyalty. YOU GET NOTHING!”
My DH just argued with Spectrum over the cost of our internet at home. They said they couldn't offer any discounts because they don't have any codes for an existing customer and they don't have a customer retention department. So, DH told them to cancel our internet and then we'd just sign up in my name so I get new customer perks. Lo and behold, they magically found a discount code so now we get $15 off per month for the next year. I despise internet/phone/cable companies.
