Anybody else watch last night? There’s seriously something wrong with Mia and I can’t believe the “experts” just believed her story even with the warrant right in front of them. I hope Tristan runs!

I didn't believe a word of her lies. Identity theft? Come on! Poor Tristan.

How does anyone believe this BS from Mia?? How does identity theft explain the stalking allegations? It doesn’t even make any sense. Plus, she initially tried to lie to Tristan saying she didn’t recognize the guy’s name, then switched to, “well, I know OF him.” She’s not going to be able to keep this up.

It made no fucking sense! She's a liar. I feel bad for Tristan, he seems like a genuine good guy.
Nope, I'm not drinking any of that Mia Kool-Aid. She seemed shady AF trying to explain it to Tristan, and it made absolutely zero sense. Tristan needs to walk out the front door and never look back.

What’s the deal about the guy from their gym who Amber dated and Dave is all bent out of shape over? I’m curious about the backstory there because Dave’s reaction seems disproportionate to the bits of the situation as presented on the show.
Bobby and Danielle come across as very sheltered, especially Bobby. They both seem inexperienced, as though they haven’t had many dating experiences.
Mia…she plays the “good Christian girl” card but her arrest warrant tells another story. Tristian seems like a good guy…a little misguided to have signed up for MAFS, but otherwise not too out there.
NomadicMama, David said that this friend talked to him about his relationship with Amber, I'm assuming the friend said things about her that would have made him not want to date her.
I feel so bad for Tristan! Lol at Mia trying to talk her way out of this. You were held for two days and mugshot, don't act like this was just all one big mixup that was cleared up easy peasy. You missed your honeymoon! Tristan missed his honeymoon.
I forget the name of the other couple, but they both come off as overthinkers and way too timid.

I should give up on this show but it's a guilty pleasure. I have to wonder if the producers did know of Mia's background but picked her to up ratings? It's sick to think about but they keep advertising "the most dramatic season yet" as if that's a good thing. Thank goodness Tristan didn't quit his job like the guy last season for this, what a waste that would have been. Looking back Mia's family is too causal, they had to have known about the charges before she signed up for this right?
ETA: I saw an article that said "Mia's pending charges came up after she passed the background check and was picked" riiiight, so you were that deep in you couldn't switch participants?

I'm watching now, its a guilty pleasure. There's no way these are legally binding marriages because I'm in Texas and you have to appear together to get the license (unless this has changed but an online search says it hasn't) and there's a 72 hour hold to have the marriage performed.

They get the license after the "wedding," Jason and Courtney explained it in a podcast.

What podcast? I’m embarrassed that I want to listen, but in my defense I only listen to podcasts when I’m exercising, cleaning, or can’t sleep. So I feel like junk is ok.
Mia is absolutely lying. I can’t believe the “experts” and Tristan believed her. Tristan seems like such a good guy. I don’t see this working out well for him.

I'm hoping that he just kind of put it to the side in the moment but doesn't fully trust her, maybe he's going to do some digging on his own.

My MIL in Dominican Republic loves MAFS lol, so when we were down there she said the new season started so I figured I'd watch with her...but they are only up to airing Season 3 there! It's the season with Neil/Vanessa.

Finally caught up on the episode. Maaaaybe ill give Mia someone used fhe credit card, but now a days with IP addresses and such...but is there proof her car was stolen which is "how" she was set up. How does that explain several counts of stalking? Eye roll poor Tristan.
As I say every season, do they screen for who wants or doesn't want kids and fiture plans? Certainly things change but if Bobby expects a SAHM then they should have weeded one out. Are "traditional southern men" still like this as in what she wanted or is he more of a one off? And I get he was raised that way so that's why he wants that . Her eyebrows are driving me crazy now lol.
What did Heather? Do in the last relationship to make the guy not want to participate, or was that more just its awkward if he sees that guy later on?

Yeah, I'm not buying that the show didn't know about Mia's past. It's really messed up that they put Tristan in that position.
I grew up in SC and many, maybe even most, of my childhood friends are SAHMs or married to SAHMs. I would probably say it is an expectation of a "traditional Southern man" that his wife will stay home.
I was totally expecting Tristan and Mia to be done. Mia is really trying to sweep this under the rug and downplay it, Tristan should run for this hills.
Amber/Dave- He seems like he can become a controlling condescending jerk.
Danielle/Bobby- Nothing here really, I'm surprised they had sex! I thought for sure they were going to overthink things so much and make it too much pressure.
So Tristan is sticking with her, but I can’t imagine building a relationship on such a huge lie, especially with a stranger.
And didn't this stalking basically happen at least within the last year? Tristan said he didn't really care about the past, because it's the past...but IMO that's a little to recent to start writing it off as old news.

When she already told him she loves him, I was thinking, "Tristan, you need to run." How do you know that in just days??
Jalapeñomel, I agree. And he did not do a bad job either.
Also, if one more person says something like, "Yeah, I guess I downplayed out important this is to me during the interview process", I might scream. That is when you hold nothing back, idiot!

And why would you downplay something as important as religion?? Don’t like mayo and downplayed it? Ok, but believing in god?
I feel like this is the first season that all three couples seemed to like each other right away and had sex in the honeymoon time period. I'm really surprised that Tristan stayed with Mia. I'm also irritated with Danielle, she says she wants a nice southern gentlemen and then is put off when Bobby says he would like her to be a SAHM. Maybe I'm stereotyping here, but I feel like that is a big part of the southern values she says she wants. I honestly don't have any early predictions on who will/won't stay together at this point.
