Finally caught up on the episode. Maaaaybe ill give Mia someone used fhe credit card, but now a days with IP addresses and such...but is there proof her car was stolen which is "how" she was set up. How does that explain several counts of stalking? Eye roll poor Tristan.
As I say every season, do they screen for who wants or doesn't want kids and fiture plans? Certainly things change but if Bobby expects a SAHM then they should have weeded one out. Are "traditional southern men" still like this as in what she wanted or is he more of a one off? And I get he was raised that way so that's why he wants that . Her eyebrows are driving me crazy now lol.
What did Heather? Do in the last relationship to make the guy not want to participate, or was that more just its awkward if he sees that guy later on?
Yeah, I'm not buying that the show didn't know about Mia's past. It's really messed up that they put Tristan in that position.
I grew up in SC and many, maybe even most, of my childhood friends are SAHMs or married to SAHMs. I would probably say it is an expectation of a "traditional Southern man" that his wife will stay home.
I grew up in the south too. IMO it tends to be more of a religious expectation than a Southern expectation, but it is the Bible Belt. It should definitely be one of the things you discuss before marriage.
Most of my friends with kids are SAHMs, and some of them really wanted to be, but most of them were in career fields where daycare cost almost as much as they were making. The friends I have who are working moms tend to be either teachers or in higher paying fields. A decent percentage of my SAHM friends are planning on getting a masters degree once all the kids are all in school so they can get back into the workforce.

I don't know why I'm so hung up on the stay at home thing, I guess I just think the "experts" should ask both parties if they have plans to have kids, and if so if they expect to stay home, or expect their spouse to stay home etc. While this can change either way based on COL, career goals, the way you were raised etc., but avoid setting a couple up for failure or resentment because one person has different expectations. I think that should be just as important as religion or where they want to live. Not mentioning religion is also weird, esp if you're pretty regular.

Yes, i think this is a pretty big issue. I can remember discussing this with men I was dating seriously. So, this begs the question... who was not being honest? Bobby or what's her name? lol

I think the experts assumed she was willing to stay home, since she’s said a bajillion times that she likes the southern values.

Well, don't they look like asses now. lol I think we would do a better job.
Also Dave and Amber (I think that is their names?) with the religion thing. There is a clip of him flat out saying that he could never date an atheist and she was pretty adamant about not practicing any religion. I do not think she identifies as an atheist and said she believes in some spiritual ideals, but also said she would never ever go to church. So... did they not do enough digging there? I wonder if they focus too much on personality matches than these real life issues that would prevent couples from furthering a relationship.

The preview for next week…Amber appears to tell Dave, her husband whose friends are in **world**, that she had friends and isn’t interested in making more. I sure hope that’s a result of editing and not what she actually said. If it is, the experts really screwed up with these two.
He really is unhappy about her cat. It would have helped if they’d “cat proofed” the house first, but he needs to chill. I have to say, outside of fitness, I’m not sure what these two have in common.
Bobby and Danielle kind of seem like an old married couple in many ways. They seem fairly well matched (outside of the SAHM situation).
Mia and Tristan…they seem to enjoy each other quite a bit. I just hope that she’s been fully honest with him.
kitkat1502, I love how Danielle was all, "Well, I love to travel, so hopefully he will too." but ignores that her travel put her in debt, so really YOU cannot afford all that travel as it is.
Did the experts ask about willingness to live with dogs/cats? Dave does not seem to really like cats all that much. Also, not sure it was a great idea to take in a foster puppy right when you move in.
Mia seems like a stage five clinger. Run, Tristan, run!

The pet thing drives me nuts. Didn’t they pair a woman who was terrified of dogs with a guy with 2 big dogs in the Miami season?
Mia said something to Tristan this week about him being her rock, and how he has been by her side with everything they have gone through together. I was yelling at the tv “it’s been a week, and you caused all the drama you’ve gone through”. She seems like such a clinger and he should run far and fast.
It seems like these couples are diving in pretty quickly and seriously, do you agree? Danielle legit moved in her entire apartment worth of furniture! In Boston two of the couples opted for fully furnished places while they tested out their relationship and kept their leases.
Mia and Tristan - I legitimately cannot give them a chance to like them at all. My opinion on Mia has been made up and I do not think it can be changed. I would have thought they were cute if the whole arrest situation never occurred. She is an odd duck... a die hard Texan, god lover and a stalker (who lies big time), all in one!
Bobby and Danielle - I think they are both a bit quirky and dorky, but in a cute way. I would really be rooting for them if it were not for the previews showing him losing his shit.
Dave and Amber - He IS uptight. He was annoyed at the cat playing with a legit empty moving box. If you cannot get any joy out of a cute and playful animal, I do not want to be your friend I have noticed that Amber is no longer saying during every interview that babies hopefully are coming soon... I wonder if that is telling?
Also, I want to steal Henry (Danielle's dog). I had to laugh when she said he was so happy there with all the space/fenced in yard and it was the first time she saw him run! Girl, your dog is a adorable Pork Chop, I am not surprised he does not do much running

I love basset hounds so much.
After last season with Jephte, I will have to refrain from judgement until further in the season, because I thought for sure they were a terrible match.
Danielle’s eyebrows. What the hell.
And I hope Danielle doesn’t tell her DH that she doesn’t need any more friends. That’s terrible and close minded.

My mom and dad had a basset named Humphrey. i think that is a great perfect name. lol
I was surprised the couples all get $5k a month now, I wonder if previous season couples are jealous.
Tristan/Mia- I just really don't like her now, I think it's because we know her past now but she does come off clingy AF.
Bobby/Danielle- Surprised by her $15k credit card debt!
Dave/Amber- He seems way high strung, that cat is going to drive him crazy. Something annoys me with the way she talks.
I don't think I like Mia either...she seems like a user/"taker" type in a relationship or something. Just a vibe I get. Tristan seems like a gem.
Dave does seem high strung. He was weird about the cat, very obvious he's not an animal person anyway. It's weird the way she talks about her cat too like she's a monster, lol.
Amber seems like she has a shopping problem. Also she looks so much older than she is sometimes! She aged herself 15 years by wearing that cheetah print top. Her bad bleached hair needs toner, stat.
I feel like it’s odd that all 3 couples decided to live in an existing residence this season. I don’t remember any of the couples doing that in the past. I wonder if In previous seasons they paid rent but this one they are giving the money instead. I also find it odd that Danielle and Bobby are planning to use that money to get out of her lease. At least wait until the 8 weeks is up for that. I thought amber and Dave were a good match at first but now I’m not sure. Between him getting mad at everything and her not wanting him to know what she spends money on, I’m not sure I have high hopes for them anymore.

Amber talking to her DH. I’m confused at their names, lol! The fake horrible blonde haired girl.
I strongly dislike Mia. I saw the arrest warrant on Reddit and it painted a really bad picture of her. I think she’s so fake and trying to say all the right things to Tristan. He’s so nice and funny, I feel bad he’s stuck with her.
I like Bobby and Danielle as a couple. They seem to work pretty well together. I love her dog!!!!!
Dave and Amber are a mismatch. He is already annoyed by her belongings, her cat, etc. They don’t seem to have anything in common.

I totally agree about using $8k to get out of Danielle's lease. I can't imagine her rent is $4k per month, so why not just pay the rent to make sure this marriage sticks then either sublet or break the lease after you decide the marriage will work.
Mia. Oh, Mia. She's a clinger. The way she was laying all over Tristan while the experts were talking to them made me cringe. He seems like a good guy and I think he wants this to work so much that he's overlooking some things with her. She seems really possessive.
Dave seems like he wants a girl who isn't so into fashion, spending, and makeup. He's made faces at how much stuff she has on nearly every episode - first packing for the honeymoon, then actually on the honeymoon while she was getting ready and now while moving in together. And he's clearly not a cat (animal) person at.all. She obviously spends too much (her own words) and he's having none of it.
And I do think it's strange, too, that they all moved to their husband's houses. In previous seasons the couples have been all about making a fresh start together. Is Dallas smaller than other cities in past seasons? I don't think so, right? I only ask because it's been so emphasized previously that OMG...his/her house is SO FAR from my work/my friends/etc. We saw none of that this time.

I'm so behind, but I wonder if John is pissed that they get $5K now. He quit his job to be on the show, he could have used that money to supplement being out of work. They should use the $5K to move into new places for a fresh start.

A few things. I think most women will always out shoe their significant other if for no other reason than we have far more shoe options. lol
I wonder if Dave is allowing, perhaps not consciously, his friend's comments about her from when they dated change things for him. He seems to be rapidly falling out of like with her. And her hair is terrible on her. I also wonder if he has had a woman live with him before. Though, I have to say, the things she was saying she hoped had not happen there could all happen without living with the person.

I was just going to say this! Reddit is a vast and scary place, lol

Now that I'm finally caught up, shame on the "experts" to be so pro Mia and Tristan. Yes she says nothing happened and it's all fake but it's hard to stalk someone with a fake identity right? Meaning maybe I get the credit card, but 3 counts of stalking. I like that David said "yeah I would have been right to the annulment office" after hearing about those charges. Run Tristan!
I agree that David seems to have some anger issues that will surface soon. He doesn't seem happy with Amber. That bleach blonde doesn't work for her.
I'm torn on the debt, should they deny a person the chance because of debt? Probably not, but it's not really fair to Bobby to start a marriage $15K in debt without letting him choose to take that on. As he said it ends up becoming his debt. Also I don't think Danielle really gets what a southern man wants. Now she doesn't cook either. Normally I'd say that's fine, but I assume the sterotypical southern values man wants a woman who stays home and cooks dinner when he gets home. I'm kind of curious what she actually thought she'd get.
Curious how they handle the "I have enough friends" this week since David made it suuuuuper clear

Yeah I don’t know what she thinks Southern Values are unless she’s just talking about pre-marital sex? Supporting Trump? Anti-abortion?
I get that the $15k in debt is a big deal, but it seems she has a good job, so it seems like if she buckled down, she could pay that off without too much issue.

I think moving in with the husbands was weird too. I see the point if they're older and they own so save money, but it's like the wives didn't have a choice. They almost seemed submissive, "well his place is better so I guess we'll just live there and he'll be happy". In real life I hope that they would have talked about it, and had the option to sell and move into a neutral place. As much as Amber drives me crazy she makes a good point that it doesn't feel like her place and it would be weird if he had another woman live there before.
