I'd set the bar for success a little higher than one person, but it's a good goal nevertheless. Especially if he can get more young people interested.
As a Vermonter this is mostly just something that makes locals here just chuckle and shake our heads. We do not take it seriously.
The problem I see in general for the state is that there are no strong candidates for the democratic primary today. None of the people running have any experience and there is hardly any chance that Vermont will move from Phil Scott (R). And while I have some issues with him in general (and dislike anyone who is still a member of that fucked up party with the fuckery that they have been supporting these last few years) he has done a few things for Vermont that I am pleased with--tighter gun control laws, legalizing marijuana, etc. We always say that a republican in Vermont is like a Democrat in the south--pretty moderate.
