Is there a way (an app or something?) to deactivate a touch screen on an ipad or Kindle so that your kid can watch something and not continue to turn it off by touching the screen?
I need to get C a larger sleep sack. Can I just stick with the regular style, or do I need to get an early walker type? He will be walking soon I think, and definitely before he outgrows the sack.

DS is 21 months and we still use the regular style. I like that it probably makes it harder for him to try to climb out of the crib. Also it just seems snugglier to me.
BB is 2.5 and we still use the sleep sacks without feet. She knows how to walk in it though and actually moves pretty well in it. She looks like Maggie Simpson though when she does, hah!
My Q: do you use a travel potty ring for public bathrooms or just lay down TP or a seat cover for your toddler and hold onto them? If you use a travel ring, can you share a link to the one you use?

Sleep sack without feet did exactly nothing to keep DD from escaping her crib. She just decided to go over using her head. :/
When did your kid(s) start walking? DD is 11 months, and not even really crawling yet. She rolls and army crawls to get anywhere. She likes standing when we hold her. DS was running at this point, which I know is on the early side. I just am trying not to worry too much, but I thought she’d at least be really crawling by now.

We just put paper down and have him hold himself up. Then we have him wash his hands really well. Ugh, I hate taking him to public bathrooms. So much stuff for him to touch. Ick.

This sounds like my DS, he was cruising around furniture at 11 months but was only army crawling. He and my DD both started walking at 14 months.

I am a HUGE germaphobe, so this whole potty training and public restrooms thing is really bothering me, hah. BB also likes to touch the bubbles in the sink from the soap which I ask her not to do, but she's 2.5, so that goes over well. I'll just have to suck it up and remind myself like I often do that I have no idea what she does and touches at daycare.
As for your Q on walking - I felt like BB was also on the late side, she would walk assisted at 12 months actual, so 10 adjusted but didn't take any independent steps until she was 15 months actual, 13 adjusted.

Both boys at 14 months old. DS1 mostly only army crawled. He also had a few steps around 12 months old but no official walking til 14 months old. DS2 didn’t show many signs of walking before just taking off one day.

Lay down TP and wash hands really well. I don't hold onto him. I never remember to bring potty rings and I rarely carry a bag big enough for one anyway.

2 weeks before his first birthday is when he took first steps. He was a big army crawler starting about 7 months though.
I wouldn't worry about it. I think its 18 months (?) before the pediatricians start to worry about walking. My H wasn't a big crawler either. MIL says he rolled everywhere then walked, never really crawled.

My DS was late to crawling; I want to say around 11 months. He couldn't even sit up unassisted until 10+ months, which made me worry a bit. So I was surprised when he started walking at 13 months. I really thought he'd be on the late side, but once he started moving he really took off.

I carry around these toilet seats covers (this link seems more $ than what I got and a smaller pack) www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00L88HXPI/ref=sspa_mw_detail_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1B7M9EQGNCLQA&th=1 They have a huge coverage (I think their is an adhesive or tape also but I don’t use that) and don’t slip off. We travel an incredible amount and encounter all sorts of conditions toilets so I like having these.

Dd only ever army crawled or rolled and finally started walking at 16 months, pedi never seemed concerned, he told us 18 months was the cut off before starting to be concerned (I know all docs are diff).

gigem, patches31709, thank you for the recommendations! I like the idea of the paper ones so that I can toss, but the fold-able one seems more environmentally friendly (and wallet friendly, too).

Yes I thought that as I was typing my reply I was gonna say I felt guilty even recommending them although I do like them I didn’t think responsibly when I bought them.

We do a "holding pee" for other toilets in our house that don't have a small seat. We do not do anything in public washrooms because A is terrified of them and refuses to go in.

Aww, poor A! I can understand that, as many public restrooms can be loud between the flushing, the hand dryers, and just bad acoustics.

How long does the 4 month sleep regression last? For DS1 it was... literally forever. Like, he still is up multiple times a night at 3.5. We are a month in with baby and I’m dying.
Any recommendations for a good overnight diaper? DD is 14 months old and wears a size 3 diaper. The past couple of mornings, she's woken up with wet PJ bottoms.

It might be worth it to have both. I think I'm going to pick up a package of the disposable ones and stash them in cars/purses/everywhere for times when the reusable one gets left behind.
