guys, we might actually have a real party to go to! I can't even remember the last time I had a real costume because I never know far in advance if we'll have plans and pretty much every year it's ended up that we were apart and/or there were no plans. SO, I think I want to try to do something.
1) are you dressing up? if not, what would you dress up as if you knew you had a party to go to?
2) I kind of feel like I could pull off Katy Perry... if I did, what outfit would be most recognizable (and reasonable to make/put together)?
3) If you really hate that idea, what else should I be?

yes, but I haven't even started thinking about my costume yet, lol. I need to get on that.

totally. if possible, I'd go for a blue wig. I'd take inspiration from this picture: high waisted shorts, corset top instead of the bikini top, and crazy ass shoes.

1) are you dressing up? if not, what would you dress up as if you knew you had a party to go to? Probably not. I'm lame and would probably just throw on a black dress and a witches hat. Or I have a headband with zebra ears somewhere and I could wear that too.

1) are you dressing up? if not, what would you dress up as if you knew you had a party to go to? Probably not a party but the school I work at is BIIIIIIG on Halloween. I usually go as Princess Leia, buns (my own!!) and all! One year I went as Fern from Charlotte's Web. I might do that again.
2) I kind of feel like I could pull off Katy Perry... if I did, what outfit would be most recognizable (and reasonable to make/put together)? Agree, the blue hair.
3) If you really hate that idea, what else should I be? I like going as a couple. DH and I went as Johnny Cash and June Carter one year. We won best costume! We did good!
thanks guys! I think you're right that the blue hair is probably the most recognizable. No couple's costume for us this year since H already has something picked out (it's a residency party and his costume is an inside joke). We've never had a chance to do one so I'm hoping maybe next year
ok, so I can't find any good pics of her with blue hair that don't have those boob cupcakes. I kind of feel like it might be a *little* awkward since the party we're going to is with the whole residency program (including faculty etc - all pretty cool people, but still a little bit awkward I think). Searching around though, I can't really find any other 'signature' outfits, that kind of seems to be the one people most recognize. Boo.

I haven't dressed up for Halloween in years, but some friends and I have been talking about doing a costume party. I want to dress DS and H up to go trick or treating as Curious George and The Man in the Yellow Hat. But I can't find a Curious George costume that I like...
