I don't really have one, and I can't decide if I want to enter my running clubs lottery for Boston or not. I did last year and didn't get in. I am in the middle of training for MCM right now and the thought of training for another marathon seems so daunting right now.
MCM was on my bucket list, so I am excited for next month!
I would like to run more half marathons in more states.
I wouldn't mind a NYC half. I did a half in Brooklyn but it was out and back and so boring. My favorite was San Francisco Half (1st Half) and I loved it so much so although I have already done that one, I'd love to do it again. Anything scenic really. I'm in SoCal so I've run a lot of the big coastal races and ready for some greenery. Two local-ish ones I keep saying I'll do is the Carlsbad 5000 all day 20k and San Diego Hot Chocolate 15k but still have never done either.
I love out and backs! Seeing the other runners on the way back ( I am back of the pack) really helps me a lot.

That’s my least favorite part!! I ran the Philly marathon and the out and back basically starts right after the halfway point and I could see the elite runners starting to come in an finish and I was like “well fuck all this” Lol

Oh! I ran Philly too. Last year! I will admit that you are right on that race! I was like WTF! I am at mile 12 and the turn around is at mile 20?! or whatever it was? Seeing the finishers bombing by me at that race did suck, for sure! I must have booted that out of my memory because I was so miserable. Lol. At least there was beer on the course.

I want to keep running destination half marathons and add a few out of the country. I was one and done on the marathon distance. Would love to race 50 half marathons and I have a long way to go (35)
NYC and Boston, which just got a little farther out of reach. 😢 I wonder if the BQ adjustments for 2020 will mean a tiny or non-existent time cut off? Or if it will just continue to whittle times down even more? I'm sorry you missed it gt7301b. I'm excited to see what you can do this fall, and hopefully 2020 will be your year!
I finally checked off Twin Cities last year, and I totally recommend it and Grandma's to anyone thinking of Minnesota. I thankfully love a lot of my local options, and travel is so tough because of my job/lifestyle. So I will realistically only travel for these big two marathons in the foreseeable future. Maybe in a few years I will be brave enough to throw my registration into the NYC lottery. I think I'll consider it depending on how far away my times are from a BQ at that point.
