and I thought there was a scheduling conflict..either way there is no love between those two at. all.
I thought it was a scheduling conflict as well. I do have to say I do not like how this relationship is playing out.
It's a mess. I confess that I see Netanyahu as the clingy, needy one constantly whining that Obama won't call, and Obama saying, "Look, you're my boyfriend, but I also have friends I want to hang out with. I can't be with you all the time. Give me some space." Because I like to reduce significant geopolitical relationships to Cosmo advice columns.

Lol, agreed. I am just not getting the pressure to do some thing right now. While he repeatedly denied it on MTP on Sunday, he most certainly is using the election to twist obamas arm.

I agree with this. He's also a Romney fan (and old friend apparently) and pretty arrogant so he's just trying to do his part to make Obama look bad. The New Yorker had a write up on it recently:
They're only complaining to try to keep the Jewish vote. They try to paint Obama as anti-Israel to keep Jewish voters who vote based on Israel alone.
Can I just say how much it bugs me that anyone would vote in the US elections based on what they think is best for an entirely different country? I'm not saying they don't have a right to do this, but it rubs me the wrong way.
Thank you. If it were ANY other country, people would be OUTRAGED at the thought of an American voting for another country's best interests. Can you imagine if there was a significant population in this country who vocally chose their presidential candidate based on who would act in Pakistan's best interests?

Not just the vote - the campaign contributions too.
People tend to forget that campaigns aren't just about winning votes - they're about winning money too. This is why Republicans alienate Hispanics at their own peril. They may not all be able to vote but they can certainly donate money to campaigns.
