I heard previously that they were planning a CR until December but than DH said something about Trump not liking what he saw in the CR. Once again we are five days away from the deadline, does anyone have anything good to share regarding the budget?

It seems very likely that they'll pass one of the bills to settle the pieces that HAVE to be done by the deadline in short order, and kick a couple of other things where there's less agreement down the road. We aren't expecting a shutdown.
I'm hearing that our agency is not expecting a shutown.
This is what we're hearing too, though I'm not sure what that's based on.
They segmented the omibus spending bill into a bunch of smaller bills and they have had a relatively good track record so far. The one they most need to pass by the deadline (and that gives them an extension until December on the remainder) already passed the Senate and is expected to reach almost supermajority levels of support in the House, which makes it unlikely it will get hung up.
The wild card here is Trump but if they can get a supermajority in the House they can override him if he randomly decides to veto.
Thanks everyone. I figured that was the case but usually like to keep an eye on it as the time gets closer. I really wish they would just pass the CR now instead of waiting until the very last minute.
Weβre preparing but not expecting a shutdown. I wonder if trump will force a shutdown over Kavanaugh
If the House has a veto-proof majority on the minibus the Senate passed (and they really might) he wonβt be able to force a shutdown. Congress (both sides) isnβt interested in playing this game a month before the election, especially House members.
