Just wondering if you like it and what you think of the camera and video? I would not spring for the newest version. Currently have an android phone that's very basic, don't really want an iphone.
I have the Pixel 2. It takes great photos and video. The Pixel 2's camera, photos, and photo taking software is considered better than the iPhone XS by many experts.

H has a Pixel and he loves it. The camera takes great pictures and overall it's a great phone. He has said he won't go with another Android and will stick with Google.

I have a pixel 2. I love the camera on it. I don't take a whole lot of video so not familiar with that feature. I went to a concert this weekend and my pictures were far above my friend's phone camera. She even commented on the quality of my zoomed in pictures.

I have a pixel 2 and love it. The camera is great and I haven't noticed problems with the video. My favorite feature is the rapid charge. I can go from 12% to 52% with in a 20 minute car ride using my car charger. AMAZING. Great battery life to (especially if you remember to shut down aps you're not using).
I have a pixel 2 as well and the picture quality is amazing. My husband did a lot of research before he bought it for me and the camera quality was the selling point.
How important is storage space to you. I was torn between the pixel 2 and the galaxy s9+. The galaxy phones can take a micro sd card of up ti 400gb, whereas you can't add any space to the pixel. That was a big factor for me. Also, hardware wise, the S9 has the better processor and more RAM. The only reason I saw to go with the pixel is the (much) faster access to OS updates, which just isn't something I care about.

This is a good point. My photos and video all back up to my Google Photos account so I have not run into any issues regarding space.
I had a pixel 2 and I loved it but it was stolen so I got the 1 as a replacement. I loved them both, but the pixel 2 was a little buggy at times. The 1 is good and the camera and all that is great.
DS and I both have Pixels and DH has a Pixel 2. For the most part I am a phone is a phone kind of person (although I'm solidly Android products) but we are all happy with our phones. I have had mine for a long time now, I want to say two years but I could be wrong, but at any rate I haven't had any issues. I love the way I can double tap the power button to quickly turn on the camera. I love the picture quality and I have plenty of storage space. I bought the biggest storage option though since you can't add any later.

I have a Pixel 2 and I adore it. It takes fantastic photos, the battery life is great, and it's not nearly as buggy as the previous android phones I've had.
