What time do you feed her at night? My understanding is that it can be from hunger. My dog used to do that frequently and changed up her eating times, it's been a while since she's done it. :::knocks on wood:::

I would also suggest adding a bit more in the evening to see if that helps. My younger dog will throw up a little bile if she didn't get enough food the night before or if we fed her too early. As for the amount, just go by her physical condition not the bag directions. You should be able to feel the ribs if you rub her side with a defined tuck. Also, is she a stealer/chewer? Poe eats a lot of crap and will throw up yellow bile on occasion if she ate something she shouldn't. Usually it either passes or she throws it up a few days later.

Ah, then hopefully it is just some hunger/irritation rather than a foreign object. I would ask the vet and get their opinion but hopefully it is just irritation.

It's bile. When they haven't eaten in a while and they are stressed they can do it. The dogs at the vet always did it after their neuters and spays. It's not bad by itself but if its a habit I'd change her routine to set her tummy up better for the night.
Maybe feed her first thing in the morning or right before bed time?

My pit bull throws up bile if he goes for a walk before he eats in the morning. I don't know why. Or if he goes too long between meals (happened occasionally if The Mister and I slept in too late on the weekends pre-baby).
My dog does this often and always has. It bile and It's always when his stomach is empty. I believe the vet said to give him some kind of over the counter acid reducer, I don't remember which, but it never worked very well. He's a finicky eater but it happens less if we feed him something tasty on his food at night before bed. He's got us trained well
Damn puking dog has woken me up far too many times with his puking antics. So gross.
