I like to take a hot relaxing shower in the dark. Do I do this all the time. No, b/c I hardly remember to go back tot he light switch once I get ready to go in. I do it often when I have a migrane.
If my bathroom had a source of natural light, I might from time to time just as a relaxing, more spa like experience. I don't shave every shower though so it's not like I really need to be able to see really well. I know pretty well where my head is to wash my hair and other body parts. Blind people shower, right?
I often take baths with just the single light on the vent on and even that is too bright when I'm trying to decompress.
My bathrooms don't have windows and aren't near windows, so no.
Growing up, my bathroom got a ton of natural light during the day so as long as it was light out, I wouldn't turn lights on. During the day you usually couldn't tell if the light was on or not anyway because it was bright enough in there.

When I grew up I showered all the time w/out lights because the shower had a window. I also like to shower in the dark with candles. It is relaxing. My bathroom has no windows now, so it is hard to shower in natural light.
I don't turn on the lights if I'm showering during the day and there's enough sunlight.
We have a window in the shower itself that faces our backyard. It's got that frosted sticky paper on it so the neighbors can't see our business.
We had a multi-day power outage after a snowstorm last year so we had to shower in the dark a few times. We used candles and flashlights/lanterns to see what we were doing.
My old bathroom had a window and in the daytime I'd ALWAYS shower with the lights off. I preferred it this way.
I sometimes do it in my current shower, even though my bathroom doesn't have windows. I get enough light from the bedroom windows. That said, my husband will sometimes come in and flip on the lights and say "why do you have the lights off?" He does that when I'm in the living room watching TV in the dark too. I guess he's more pro-light than I am.
Interesting. My bathroom has a small window, but the way the shower is angled makes it very dark. I've showered without the overhead light/fan (fan sounds like a small plane taking off) but never without the vanity light. I may have to try this.

My bathroom doesn't have a window (this saddens me) so I don't have the option. However, I've been known to light a few candles and shower with just candlelight.
I'd love to shower by moonlight though sounds relaxing. Put on some Enya and enjoy.
I do now because we moved to an apartment and there are no windows.
FWIW, when we lived in our house I absolutely never turned on lights unless it was dark outside and I couldn't see. My husband was the opposite- it was just habit for him to turn on the lights no matter how much light was already in the room. It drove me crazy.
I don't turn the lights on if there is a window in the bathroom. My current bathroom also has 2 sets of lights--one by the shower and one over the sink area--I only turn on whichever one I'm near.

When DD was only a few weeks/months old, she would fall asleep in her bouncy chair if I let the shower run. (This was a big deal, because otherwise she would only nap if she was being held.) So I'd go into the bathroom, turn on a nightlight, wait till she fell asleep, then hop in the shower. We have a dark-colored fabric shower curtain, so inside the shower it was quite dark.
I kind of liked it, actually. Once I got done washing my hair (finding/picking up/putting down the bottles was always a slow, careful process, lest I drop or knock one over and wake DD) it was quite relaxing.

We have a window but it's dark outside when I shower. We do have a dim overhead light and then very bright lights over the mirror. I just use the dim overhead light when I shower.
Hell no. In my 26 years of using the restroom, nearly every spider I ever found in my house was in the bathroom. I would slip and kill myself if I came across one in a dark shower.

:-( why did you have to make think of this. I don't think I will ever be able to shower with the lights out again. more then spiders we have the 1000 leggers that I always seem to find in our tub. I almost killed myself trying to get away from one a couple weeks ago with all the lights on. If I wasn't terrifed it would have been pretty funny- those suckers move fast and I more or less fell out of the tub trying to get away from it
I only shower without lights on if it's really early (before 6am) or if I'm not feeling well. In both cases I usually end up laying on the floor of the shower for several minutes. Our bathroom has a decent sized window.
