I got my blood draw this morning (yay!) and the handout says I should have my results in 14 days. 14 days! I thought it would be a week. If you had this test, how long did you wait?
My draw was yesterday, and they told me about a week. I had MaterniT21 done at Labcorp.
Randomly, I was at the orthodontist on Monday and the tech who worked on my teeth is 13w pregnant, also AMA, and goes to the same OB practice I do. She had just done it and said it took like 4 days. She also suggested creating a login on Labcorp's site because then you can see the full report even if your doctor's office doesn't have a patient portal (ours does not), so I appreciated all that info!
I had my early 1 hr. GD test done too yesterday, hoping to get that result faster. It's just like ultrasounds... actually taking the test generates all kinds of new worry that I didn't have prior to the test, even though the test didn't change anything.

Not entirely true. For whatever reason, my reports will show up in labcorp, but I’m not allowed to see them for 72 hours. Presumably it gives the doctor time to review and discuss with you, rather than your finding out online, alone.

I'm not sure what you're trying to correct me on.
My OB's office does not have a patient portal, and IME (my 2nd pregnancy with them) they generally don't give written copies of results, they just call. Creating a login with Labcorp provides me with direct access to the original report that I would not otherwise have. That's all I'm saying.

I’m saying that within the Labcorp portal itself, it showed that the results were back. But I didn’t have access to view them, bc they put a waiting period on it so the doctor can contact you with results first.
Sometimes in Labcorp you can see them immediately. Sometimes they put a hold on your ability to view them. This is one of those instances.
Eta: I’m not trying to “correct” you. I’m sharing something that might save you some frustration or stress. When I saw they were back in Labcorp, I was very eager to see what they were, but I had to wait two days for my genetic counselor to get around to calling. And it sucked. I knew she knew, but I wasn’t able to find out, and it created more anxiety.
centralsquare , I'm sorry your experience was unnerving, but I'm ok right now. I know there's a delay. I was still appreciative of knowing where to get access to the full report since I will want to read it even after I hear a brief verbal report from my OB's nurse, since it will be light on details and my OB doesn't send copies. Hopefully we're all good here.
Susie, why don't you just request the records officially? I was able to get the full report with no issues, but I know that you know you're legally entitled to the full report, even if it means having to go through official channels.

I’m confused that you think we have some kind of a conflict?
All I wanted was to give you a heads up it that you might now have immediate access. Glad you are happy with the option to see it later!

I really did not intend for this to be a whole side discussion. I can get the written results from my OB after they call, but it’s a pain. A results portal is easy, even if it’s a little wait. The whole thing is not as big a deal as the number of posts dedicated to it would suggest, I just keep getting quoted and tagged. I’m just waiting for my NIPT results. They’ll be here eventually. In the meantime I’d rather not think too much about it.

I’m just getting frustrated at being called out so many times. I’m waiting for results, I think everybody here knows what that’s like. My way of dealing with it is trying to focus on other things and topics of discussion this weekend. Every time I come on gbcn though, I see I’m called out again in this thread, even though I didn’t have any questions. It’s not personal, but every additional “heads up” is also a “hey! Remember those results you’re waiting on?!” Not tagging me would help me more right now than more advice.
