Is there one thing that you have always wanted to learn how to do?
I'm pretty good about learning something if I want to, but the one thing I just cannot do is eye makeup. I have tried getting a lesson at MAC, watching youtube videos. I just cannot do it. Or I haven't been able to yet.
Since y'all helped me with my computer issues maybe you can help me with this. Or maybe there is something you want to learn to do that we can help you with.
Have you checked out pinterest? they have a lot of tutorials!
What kind of supplies do you have? Do you have some good brushes, eye shadows, liners, primers, etc?
In general with Pinterest I tried it and I don't get it...
For supplies I have some decent brushes (MAC & Bobbi Brown), I have a ton of eye shadow, zero liners (I have the BB eyeliner in a pot), zero primers (but Sephora gives samples if I knew what to ask for)

Well if you are just practicing you don't need the primer, that's more just for keeping it on all day. I got a bunch of brushes from ELF for super cheap but they are actually pretty nice. WAY better than a "nice" set I got at Target a while back.
One of the biggest tips I learned was to start out very light, only apply a tiny bit of shadow, and slowly add more until you get the look you want.
Also, try out different kinds of liners until you figure out what you want. some stores like target will let you return cosmetics even after you use them if you don't like them, so you can figure out what works for you, what you find easy to use, what you like the look of, etc.

I'll admit it--I'm Chrissie and I'm hair challenged. At 32 I still cannot work a damn curling Iron to curl my hair lol. Ive tried youtube videos, pinterest, had friends try to show me, and I just cannot d o it lol I also have always wanted to learn how to sew on another note.
For those of you referencing wanting to do hair and makeup it takes A LOT of practice. You can't just watch a tutorial and BAM! you can do it. I'd say it takes me a good couple of months of daily trying to get the hang of a new hairstyle.
Make up I've finally mastered but that took years.
I've always wanted to be able to decorate my house/apartment. Mine looks fine, but it isn't awesome and I just don't have that "touch"
I took a makeup lesson at a salon to learn how to do the shading thing on my eyes. I never do it on a daily basis so I probably need a refresher. I just use one color on my lids if I use any at all.
I'm also hair challenged. I don't know how to use a curling iron or braid. I'd love to learn how.
I want to learn how to play golf. And how to enjoy exercise.

I find makeup easy. My mom never wore it, so everything I know, I learned from Cosmo and Seventeen lol. Idk, I just play and have fun with it. Your face is a canvas. I'm known for going all-out for holidays and costumes and such with catwalk-worthy makeup. It's fun!

I want to learn how to braid. Not just the basic braid, I want to learn how to fishtail braid and put my hair up and use braids...things like that. I have the basic braid down.
I've gotten better with makeup over time. I've watched friends and videos, but mainly I've played with it. I'm slowly getting better at shopping for clothes. I've gotten a little more trendy and I'm steering away from just jeans and t-shirts.
