Je suis ca va

I'm in the office today...all dressed up and pretty. I even put press-on nails on. Got to make a good impression on the new VP of Marketing. He's in town for new employee orientation, so I thought I'd work from the office today and tomorrow to get a chance to meet him and the other new employees.

It is >pouring< today. I'm enjoying it. Something about rain in November speaks to me

H and I went to see Girl In The Spider's Web this weekend. I enjoyed it. Not sure it was as good as Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, but it was good. The rest of the weekend was soccer and football...and ring shopping! We replaced H's ring (I was surprised by the one he picked. It's kind of flashy.), and then H went and picked out a 10-year anniversary band for me! He put it on layaway so I won't get it until next May, but OMG IT'S SO PRETTY! It has 10 diamonds, and it matches my wedding bands perfectly. They look amazing together. I was completely overwhelmed when he picked it out.
I can't believe we've been married almost 10 years! Things are so much better than they used to be

I feel genuinely good today...like, I believe I'm good and good things will happen to me. This is the strangest feeling...

SwimDeep, It makes me happy to read your post. I'm glad things are going well.

I had an amazing weekend. H and I sold another car for our company. Since we are small we are trying to do nice touches. We left a little thing of local cookies and a thank you card in the back seat. She was an awesome buyer and so excited to have a "new" vehicle. I watched a lot of rugby too which was good fun and purchased a new duvet cover for my bed that I a absolutely love.

Sunday was even better. One of my best friends and H conspired to throw me a surprise birthday brunch. I got teary eyed. They filled up the entire back of a restaurant. It was amazing. They had confetti, hats, and fun things to play with and cake! I was so surprised. Then H and I saw our MLS team make it further into the Playoffs. It was an all around amazing day.

This weekend (since I'm off today, it's still my weekend) I've mostly been doing some much-needed cleaning and purging. I've already completely filled one kitchen-sized trash bag with clothing to donate. I picked up a couple of pretty storage boxes at the Container Store yesterday and today I think I'm going back for two more and a new trash can. I have 25% off one item and, if it's still there when I go in, they have a nice white metal trash can that's discounted because of a dent on the back. So apparently I'm nesting a bit.

Yesterday I had a date (#4 with this guy) and it went well. He referenced next time while we were at dinner, so clearly there will be a date 5. I wish it were already planned, but he seems to not be much of a planner. This could be interesting. (In case it wasn't clear on how I'm phrasing it all, I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much yet.)
