Looking into getting a couple of these, a nice one for the front door and a basic one for another door that isn't visible. Any particular recs and any possibilities of BF sales to be had?
I'd also like a Ring for the front door but we don't have a wired doorbell now. I'm just sick of having to traipse across the whole house just to see who's at the door or open it, especially when the door is already open.

Somewhat helpful, but I don't recommend the Kevo lock. We have one that came with our house and it's a huge POS. You have to have the ap open for it to work and many times when my husband is trying to unlock it with his physical key, it locks automatically back so he can't even open the door...I crack up at it, but he is not as amused as I am.
I highly recommend the Ring, it (and the Kevo) came with our home and I'm really glad we have the Ring. We're looking to add the motion light in the back yard as well.

We purchased Yale locks (along with the new doors that also came from Yale) for our first house and loved them so much, we purchased them again for the renovation of our second house. I love not having to carry around a key.
We have a Kwikset lock that’s WiFi enabled (we can lock it remotely through our alarm system with Vivint). It works great. I’m not aware of BF deals, but would recommend looking on Amazon.
We love our Ring doorbell. Can’t recommend it enough.

We have the nest lock along with the security system and everything else. The Nest is nice because it all works together (fire alarms, thermostat, security, door lock and doorbell). We also have an August on another door and like it too but there have been a couple of times the Bluetooth isn’t working right on my phone and I’ve gone to the other door over the past 4 years.
ETA. It’s also nice because the nest is all in one app. And you can check it from anywhere anytime.
We’ve had both kwikset and Schlage. I preferred the kwikset. You can engage and disengage the lock remotely. With Schlage, I can unlock it remotely but someone has to physically be there to turn it. Also, one of the locks is buggy and I have to input the code to lock the door. That’s a setting but I don’t have it selected and customer service can’t figure out why it does that.
I recommend purchasing from build.com. Great prices, selection, and service and you can order the locks to be pre-keyed to use the same key.
When we were purchasing, we wanted one without WiFi & that still had an option for opening with a physical key. We have a screen door as well, and the first lock was in the way of the screen door handle if it wasn’t turned a specific way. It took a few times of us getting “locked out” of the house before we figured it out!
I know a lot of people love the WiFi feature, and it would be nice to be able to confirm that we had locked the front door. But my H is too paranoid that someone could hack into it and get in our house. (I know there are several ways they prevent it, but he would not budge.)

I don't love our Kevo either. We haven't had an issue with it locking on us when using the physical key, but the BT connection to the phone is spotty. My phone won't work if it's in my purse or back pocket - but H's works just fine. We can't lock/unlock remotely without paying the $10/month subscription charge - so it defeats the purpose.
I wanted one with a keypad and a code I could give to house cleaners or a neighbor as needed. Or at the very least, unlock and lock the door for them if I'm not home. But H picked out this one instead...

Oh one other thing I like about the nest is that you can assign different codes to different people and restrict access to specific times. So our parents have a code, the housekeeper, contractors, etc. that way you know exactly who came, when, and for how long. It interacts with the doorbell nicely!
We have Schlage connect that I really like- it works with our SmartThings hub, www.schlage.com/en/home/smart-locks/connect.html It locks and unlocks remotely through SmartThings app and I can add delete codes. (There is a sense version that’s for Apple home- works with their WiFi adapter/app)
We have the keypad deadbolt on the other house it isn’t a smart lock I wouldn’t recommend it, it is buggy and forgets codes keeps defaulting to a setting where I have to use a code to lock it from the outside vs just hitting the button and turning it
