H is out of town for the weekend and I am slowly losing my mind. The stupid, pointless bickering. Overly sensitive to every little thing and just being little jerks.
We have to go to the library to return books/renew and then who knows what else until C's bowling party tonight. Pray for me.
Here too. My oldest just told me his favorite sound is his little brother screaming in agony. We also have been inside a lot due to heavy rain (which we desperately need so hard to wish it away). I took DS1 to the movies to see Ralph breaks the internet yesterday and it was very good.
Mine is having a stand-off about taking a shower and leaving the house. He'd been in his room for more than an hour and now is fighting it out with DS. I'd take a day-long bath and showers all day, if I could. Why does he want to be dirty?

+1 million We took the kids to Target to get a string of lights bc somehow one chunk is out on our pre-lit tree. They screamed/cried/whined all morning, Kid1 lost her mind when we went to get in the car, they screamed/cried/whined the 15 minutes we were in the store, and screamed/cried/whined the whole way home. Then they ate lunch and screamed/cried/whined about napping. The past few weeks have been absolute hell and they are not fazed by threats of taking away Christmas/presents/etc. I literally drowned my annoyance in Pizza Hut breadsticks and mint truffle Hershey kisses.

And this is just a prelude to the 16 days they have off in December and January.
It’s petty, but my nine year loves to make up crap. “Known fact: I once heard…”. No, no, no! After four days of listening to him prattle on, I’m ready for a break!!
We escaped to a local pool with a friend of his. It’s busy here, but I know nobody else. It’s quite delightful!!!
WE have C's birthday party later, which will be fun, but I just realized that I forgot about goodie bags. I have not done them for a while, but now I feel bad.
I am hiding out in the bathroom, about to take a bath and read a Sue Grafton book.
I have laryngitis. So far we have had to cancel a playdate for DS yesterday; seeing Santa arrive at a really neat greenhouse with crafts, carolers and more activities this morning; and going to my sister's house this afternoon to play with cousins he hasn't seen in months (2 haven't even met our baby). The puppy just chewed up a package and got trash bags all over the front lawn and destroyed a Christmas gift I got DS.
DS is having a crap weekend and I feel terrible. DH just loaded DS and DD into the car for the library. Here's hoping they stay awhile, we have such a nice one for playing and having fun!!
Glad I'm not the only one! We were an hour late to the in-laws' Thanksgiving bc DD threw 2 tantrums back to back for no reason. Like, I couldn't even buckle her into the carseat for flailing around.
Currently trying to feign interest in my 11-year-old's nephew incessant prattling/bragging about every damn thing. I don't recall being this damn annoying as a tween. Ugh
No kids for me, but I am over everything. Unfortunately we have one more dinner to go to with my mom, uncle & Aunt, and my friend who is driving down from Charleston to see me. I wish we’d flown back today. And I feel bad bc I’m being short tempered and H is noticeably over it also, plus Michigan lost big time so he’s cranky about that.
I was over by Thanksgiving night. My kid has no off button and is just generally annoying. She’s loud and nothing phases her whether it’s praise or negative. She is seriously the honey badger.
I’m dreading Christmas break. I don’t get the need for them to be off for 2 weeks.

My kid is fine but I’m over house guests. I’m an introvert; I need my downtime. Three nights is my max, but in-laws always come for so. long. Like twice as long as I can take.
