We probably going to purchase a custom bedframe from Bassett, but before we spend $$$$, I'm curious if anyone has ever purchased anything from there and how it held up. The last "custom" item we purchased-a couch from a different retailer, kinda sucked. I had to replace the cushions after 4 years and I wasn't impressed with how the couch seams were finished.

I have a dining room set from Bassett. It wasn't custom, but I've had it 16 years and it's in great condition. It's a really beautiful set. I need to get it refinished at some point because the stain color is not what I like anymore (natural cherry finish). Otherwise all good.

Our house is mostly Bassett furniture. My H bought a leather couch from there that's 13 years old that still looks fantastic. It's held up really, really well. Our other couch from there is looking a bit more worn, but it's fabric. It still looks fine but the cushions have collapsed a bit. Our dining room set still looks brand new 2 years later, as does our armchairs.
Moral of the story: one couch I would rate as "good", the rest I would rate as "great". I would continue to buy most of my furniture from there.

Similar situation.
The furniture in my DS' nursery is Bassett. It was mine and my sisters as a baby so it's 37 years old. That shit is still solid. I did give it a paint job 3 years ago because the color was awful.
This may not be relevant though because....37 years ago. LOL
Bassett was one of the main brands my dad sold at the furniture store he and my grandpa owned for more than 40 years. Granted, that store has been closed for 13+ years now, but the Bassett bedroom suit I have from there has held up beautifully.
