I am over the gossip about Kate and Will and infidelity... but I do love this article that popped up on a feed today...
People magazine is reporting that fans of Meghan and Harry are flooding charities that they have worked with in the past with donations in a virtual baby shower. That is fantastic and amazing. It makes my heart swell that so many people are excited for this baby and vested in non-profits that Meghan has showcased with her notoriety.
In anticipation of the upcoming arrival of the royal couple’s first child, excited fans are supporting causes close their hearts through a virtual “baby shower.”
Charities linked to Meghan and Prince Harry have been surprised with a flood of online donations after a fundraising effort went viral over the weekend.
#GlobalSussexBabyShower – started by Twitter user @freepeeper – began trending among supporters of the couple. The first charities picked for donations included Camfed, the Mayhew and WellChild. But it widened as others gave to organizations like Sentebale, Harry’s charity for young people in Lesotho and parts of Southern Africa, and One25, which the couple visited in Bristol in February (and Meghan wrote messages of support to street sex workers on bananas.)

Harry & Meghan have their own Instagram page! @sussexroyal
I think the split from KP will be a good thing from a marketing / PR perspective, as well as from a practical standpoint. Though, I hope all the rumors of squabbles between the brothers and their wives are false/overblown.

I think they broke IG. It won't work when I click follow!

Same. I tried like an hour ago and it wouldn't work. Just tried again, the followers have gone up for 150K but I still can't follow.

On their first post, the eighth photo. Anyone have more photos of Meghan in that dress (looks like a striped linen dress)? I really like it and want to find something similar.

We watched the first one recently (right before How Did This Get Made? aired their episode), and it was surprisingly... I mean, not GOOD, exactly, but it WAS in parts. It was definitely watchable. It totally worked on me. And, apparently, my husband, as well, because when I was telling him the scuttlebutt about Will and Kate, he said, "huh, I never thought Harry would be the one who wasn't a dirtbag. (pause) But he DOES have his mom-as-a-lion watching over him, I guess..." Hahaha
I'm going to Edinburgh in June for work and the wedding exhibit will be on display. I am embarrassingly excited to (try to) see it.

Oh, I totally enjoyed the first one. It was better than the Kate and Will one.

Does anyone know if they will hang up that easel with the written announcement as soon as Meghan gives birth like they did after Kate delivered her kids? If not, I guess it really could be an Instagram announcement.

I was wondering that. I mean, the Queen is getting a new great grandchild. But s/he won’t be anywhere near being in line for the throne. Is that reserved for the direct line?

I would say most likely because they did it for the Duke and Duchess of York's children. And yes, in fairness, those were the Queen's grandchildren, and not her great-grandchildren, but Beatrice and Eugenia aren't in the direct line of succession, either.
The announcement of Beatrice's birth makes me lol. Ya think the Queen perhaps wasn't a fan of Fergie?
“Her Royal Highness the Duchess of York was safely delivered of a daughter at 8:18 p.m. today. Her Royal Highness and her child are both well.”

I think the announcement will come however Harry and Meghan want it to come. I think they know they’re setting a precedent for how they want to handle things in regards to their family. Some things they won’t be able to stray from tradition on, but I think this one could.

A quick google search tells me that Zaras childrens births were announced via the palace twitter.

Short and to the point!
The birth announcements are always worded briefly like that, regardless of who it is. Tradition.

I would assume they’d do the easel announcement for any parents with an HRH title.

Looks like we will be waiting a few days after Meghan give birth to find out she’s delivered. I’ll be refreshing their Instagram a hundred times a day. 🙄
