I need a face lotion that is very hydrating. It doesn’t matter how much lotion, what kind, or how often I apply, my forehead is always dry.
Also I like my powered liquid foundation but sometimes I feel it breaks me out. I like it has sunscreen and goes on with a sponge so it’s easier than a true liquid. For some reason my cheeks feel like they are always breaking out. Any kind of blush makes them break out too I think.
This is a bit early for northerners but since we are going to Florida for spring break- recs for girls and boys sandals, girls shorts that aren’t too tight and short and girls raincoats. I saw a cute one at Target and didn’t want to spend $30, but I think I might go back and get it tomorrow, navy with unicorns. If DD had size 7 shorts last summer and currently wears size 8 dresses would you do size 8 shorts? 10 seem like they would be too big. Do you have a rule that your kids have 2 swim suits for vacations?
There are no sandals or shorts in the stores here yet so I’ll have to order online or wait for inventory which should be 4 weeks maybe...
Omg. I found the best lotion. It’s L’Oreal Hydra Genius. I use that and L’Oreal Revitalift Bright Reveal, which has sunscreen. The Hydra Genius is a very light almost serum-ish lotion. The Revitalift is your more typical white lotion that’s creamier and thicker.
I’ve also stopped using blush and have gone to a bronzer. I use it on my cheek bones and my jawline so I actually look like I have a jawline. If you’re breaking out, I would limit use of foundation. I only put a tiny bit under my eyes to cover dark bags and on my nose, which tends to be a little red.
I do 2 swimsuits per kid all the time since we have a pool. I’m kind of hopeless at guessing future sizes because my kids tend to be so spurt-ish with their growth. But going to size 10 shirts seems like a big jump.

I've started using Beauty Counter products a few years ago and really love it. They have face oils and serums that are very hydrating without being oily.
For foundation I use the tainted moisturizer from Bobbi Brown. I find it very light and doesn't make me break out.
I've actually become obsessed with the Soothe regimen from Rodan and Fields. It's expensive, but it has almost completely stopped my cystic acne breakouts and helped with the scaly dry patches I would normally get. I've tried so many different things that when this seemed to work, I decided to bite the bullet and stick with it. And the sunscreen included works surprisingly well on my super fair, sensitive skin.
I use that coupled with BareMinerals Complexion Rescue as my foundation and BareMinerals blush.
I found that my dry skin was actually causing my breakouts. When I can get my dry skin under control I break out a lot less, so I just have to keep up with moisturizing.
Thanks I picked up the raincoat since I had been looking for one for her since fall. None of the stores really have shorts out but I found 5 pair of shorts and 5 shirts at goodwill for $33 for DD just to get us covered for the vacation. Got her another bathing suit at Target as well. I picked up the L’Oréal Hydrating Genius. I never heard of B.B. or CC cream so thanks for that. I’ll look into that later, but it sounds like the CC might be good for me. I need a bit more coverage than the B.B. cream.

waverly, I've been using CC cream for a couple of years now and don't get breakouts. But I'm also on a low dose of spironolactone prescribed by my dermatologist to help with the breakouts I was getting. It covers the redness I have in my forehead and cheeks.
