DS is in kindergarten, turned 6 last week, and is soooo jealous of all of his friends in class missing teeth. I'm actually surprised at how many in his class have lost teeth already! There's a 4 year old girl in his karate class who's lost 4 teeth over the past month or so.
Curious to know what the average age is.
No signs of wigglers, but his bottom two teeth have shifted a little bit. Makes me think maybe there's a pending eruption in the next few months.
The bottom two are typically first to go, right?
Fun fact. When I was a baby my canines came in first. I looked like a vampire.

DS is 6.5 and had a tooth pulled 2 months ago b/c the adult tooth was coming in, but it wasn’t loose yet. He’s the last of his friends to lose any teeth. We were at the dentist last week and she said one was starting to come loose and we should work on wiggling it, but it doesn’t feel loose to me at all
I read that it’s tied to when they came in. DD had her first tooth at 51/3 months and lost her first when she was 4 I think. Or maybe she had just turns 5. DS got his first tooth at 13 months and he’s 6 with no loose teeth in sight
DS just lost his first tooth (his top one too, so a bit atypical) a few weeks ago, he turned 6 in Dec. He was also getting super impatient because there were a ton of his classmates who had already lost several teeth.
DS1 was 6, close to 7 and it was in first grade. He was waiting all of kindergarten for a wiggly tooth but nothing. He’s 8 in a few weeks and he’s only lost 4 and only 2 permanent teeth are in at this point.
He was in kindergarten but he's also nowhere near having lost all of them and he just turned 8. He goes in spurts - like one month he lost four, then he went another 6-8 months before having another tooth so much as be loose.
I think my DS was the last in his 1st grade class; he lost the first two, one after another, about a month ago and will be 7 next week. I’ve always heard it was tied to when they came in and he was a late bloomer getting those baby teeth in too.
I wanna say they were both between 6-6.5. DS was done at 10.5 and DD had her last baby tooth pulled at 12.5 because it wouldn’t fall out and her adult tooth is coming in at a 45° angle.
Both my kids are on the later side. DS1 lost his first tooth at the end of 1st grade, so he was late 6 or barely 7. DS2 lost his first tooth New Year’s Eve and his second tooth last week - he turns 7 on Saturday.
DS1 turns 12 in April and still has 5 baby teeth left to lose - he’s way late compared to his friends. The bummer part for him is that all his friends have braces already but he won’t get his until he’s at at least lost his canines...people do braces so much earlier these days and he’s not going to be starting until after everyone else has theirs off already.
Also i don’t think it’s related to when they get their baby teeth. Both my kids were on the slightly early to average side with teeth(first teeth at 3/4 months) but both are late losing them.
First one at the end of August, 1 1/2 months after her 6th birthday (mid-July). She just lost the 2nd one last week at school.
She was on the later end with teething; I think she only had 2 teeth on her 1st birthday. I don’t know if that really matters but it seems like all of her friends that lost teeth fairly early were also early teethers as babies.
ETA: she was nervous about it coming out at school but her teacher was very sweet about it. The nurse gave her a little necklace to keep it in, a big sticker, and a new toothbrush. She was very excited about it all!

DS will be 7 in June, and so far, no teeth lost and no loose teeth. It seems like most of his first grade friends have already lost at least one tooth, though.
This last week a FB memory popped up of my niece loosing her first tooth. She was a first grader, and about 2 months shy of her 7th birthday.
