I’m going to Orlando in June for a conference, so the family is going to go so we can also visit Disney World. I need to stay at the meeting hotel over the days I have meetings, which is a Friday night through Tuesday. We plan to check out on Tuesday and move to a Disney World on-property hotel, and stay there through Friday (or maybe Saturday....we have a super early Saturday morning flight home, so we may switch to a hotel near the airport for Friday night, but are open to staying on-property one more night).
Due to my meeting schedule, I have Sunday and Monday open. We want to Uber over to one of the parks one of those days, and then visit the other 3 parks (one per day) on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Am I correct in thinking I can’t book the park tickets with our Disney resort hotel room because the park tickets won’t be valid until Tuesday?
The # of days of fastpasses are tied to your tickets, but the ability to book the fastpasses 60 days out is tied to the hotel reservation. So you will not be able to make fastpass reservations for Sunday and Monday at the 60-day mark, but you will be able to make them once you hit the 60-day mark from that Tuesday check-in date.
That sounded confusing. So basically link everything under your Disney Experience and I'm pretty sure once you hit 60 days from the Disney hotel reservation, you can make fastpasses for the amount of days you have tickets.

I would buy park tickets separately. There really is no advantage to buying them in a package with your room unless you’re getting a promotional rate on the package.

If you buy them separately and link them it should not be a problem. Just select the appropriate start date. You will not be able to book FP until 60 days from the on-site stay though.
