I am starting this for discussion and predictions for tonight’s episodes but I am calling SPOILER ALERT in case it spills into that, too.
I am really looking forward to what they give us for the battle scene. It should be epic. I am so worried about what is going to happen in the crypt. They have 8,000 years of dead Starks down there so ... I really hope they defend Winterfell and not the other way around. Bran the Builder built The Wall, and then the crypt and then Winterfell on top of it so it HAS to be some kind of defense against the North/Winter. And everyone kept saying “the safest place to be is in the crypt” - and since this is GOT and they said it SIX times, I’m worried.
I think a lot of people will die tonight (like 6-8 characters we like), but after we cry and regroup it will end up being all ancillary characters. No Starks, not Dany, etc. Basically, everyone who is expendable, so it will be emotional, but not detrimental to the plot. I mean, really, Dolorous Ed? Who cares? Breanne? Sucks, but her story line is over. Pod, Tormund, Theon. Maybe Davos, Gendry and Gilly. In then end... eh. The major players are okay.

I think we are losing Jorah, Edd, Pod, Beric, and Theon tonight. I doubt Gilly, Varys, and Missandei are safe in the crypts (along with the little girl) from last episode, but don’t feel like they are definitely going to die. Arya is going to be terrified and on the run at some point, so that might be signs of a Gendry death or a Rickon wight?? I doubt Jaime is getting the valonqar role since Cersei is now fAegon, so I hope he survives but am trying to steel myself that he won’t since he is my favourite Lannister by a lot.
Posts by the Yara and Melisandre actresses have led to speculation that one or both might show up tonight. If somebody is, I’d place money on Mel since she says she will die in Westeros and she could have some redemption before going out if she goes all “burn them all” Mad King style. If it weren’t for show teleportation I’d rule Yara out entirely, but now that Littlefinger is dead maybe she has his teleported.
We haven’t seen the shot of Tyrion looking up in the light or Dany and Jon together from the previews, so it’s safe to say those 3 are going to pull through.
I’ve been watching Talking Thrones on YouTube almost all day. Suffice to say, I think I’m ready. In one of the ep 3 theories videos, H was watching over my shoulder, and everytime a character came up, he just said “dead.” Pretty sure we are losing most of the fireside chat room from last week (except Tyrion)

At least 3 of that crew make it through the night! Don’t lose all hope.
ETA: There were at least 4 POV characters in that room (I feel like I might be forgetting one). I can see losing 1 or maybe 2 POV characters, but not more than that of that group.
There are also several people who are the last of their line or group. I think that several of them will make it, because I think at the end we are going to need to have people from all over and from all different groups represented. Ex. Euron and Theon are likely doomed, so that puts the Ironborn story all on Yara. Jaime or Tyrion are the only shots at the main line of House Lannister continuing in the show. Davos in the last of Stannis's crew if Mel is right and she dies. If we want to have a wilding at the end to have them become part of the 7 Kingdoms, Tormund or Gilly need to survive (even though they both could be in trouble this episode so who knows which one has better odds). I'm trying to weigh this against whose story seems to be complete or less necessary when weighing the odds on characters.
I just don't even know. I've been listening to podcasts, so many theories, I couldn't say which ones are more likely. I'm getting my wine and my box of tissues ready.
I think Brienne is going out tonight, valiantly, either defending Jamie or a Stark girl. I think the rest who die will be lesser characters. I hope for action in the crypt. I bet Gilly dies but the boy and Sam live. There will only be one Mormont, not sure which will live.
If Missandei and Grey Worm don't get their beach vacay in Naath, I'm writing a strongly worded letter to David Benioff
I can't see them both surviving. Here's hoping Missandei doesn't die only for Grey Worm to bring her body back and be attacked by Naath's killer butterflies lol.

I am more worried about Sam and Gilly but they are a close second.
Melisandre's back in this episode!! My bet is that she is going to pull a Gandalf and show up after the fighting's started.
Edit: nope lol. Thank the gods that there is some light now, though.
How is she useful!? Hasn’t she just messed up everything thus far?
She has been misreading prophecies, but the gist of what she thinks has been right. Also, fire. The red priests and the dragons are the two biggest sources of fire. At this point, the Northerners should be thankful that the foreign armies and groups they dislike showed up to fight the undead because they’ve provided the fire and the Unsullied guarded the retreat.

Nope. Not okay with this. This doesn’t fit with everything we know. For all the complaints I’ve seen of fan service (many of which I disagreed with), that takes the cake and is ridiculous.
