1. Hospital bag was packed at 35 weeks. Car seat is not yet installed, (37 weeks tomorrow).
2. My go-to lately is a fruit, nut, and cheese tray I throw together. I have had no appetite at all lately, but I can manage those things so that's what I do.
I have a random question too, is there some surge of hormones at the end of pregnancy too? The mood swings are wild right now lol.
Wouldn’t surprise me.
Between mood swings and some serious baby brain I don’t feel like myself at all. I SAH and am in awe of people who manage high stress jobs this late in pregnancy!

Ha! The baby brain has been ridiculous. I try to speak to people as little as possible because I just forget what I'm saying as it's coming out of my mouth.
1) How many weeks were you when you packed the hospital bag and installed the car seat? 35.5 right now. Bag is mostly packed. Not sure when I did it last time. H did his after my water broke. His bag contained not nearly enough clothing but 6 books "for the downtime." Dont be like him, lol.
Car seat I plan to do next weekend. It is however washed, straps adjusted, etc. We could just grab it and a base on our way out the door.
2) What is your favorite quick & easy lunch? I eat a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches when I'm in a DGAF mood. Or a meats and cheese tray when not pregnant. God I want some salami.
1) How many weeks were you when you packed the hospital bag and installed the car seat? 35 weeks and just did both this last weekend. My sister went into labor at 36w/36w5d/37w for all three of her kids and it has me a little freaked out.
2) What is your favorite quick & easy lunch? I make a lot of chicken salad using a low cal or paleo friendly mayo and greek yogurt. I love making it with curry powder and eating it on saltines.
1) well, last time DH packed my bag via speakerphone while I was in the hospital. I got sent for monitoring at 38+5 and when my test results came back they told me I wasn’t going home. Don’t be like me. I went to my dr appt that morning and planned to pack the bag that afternoon when I got home. Lol.
2) I pack a lunch and it’s typically leftovers from dinner the night before. Quick and easy at home might be a bagel sandwich or a box of Mac and cheese on the weekends.
1) At 36+1 I've done neither. I finally got the carseat thanks to Target's trade in event, but its still sitting in the box. DH asked that I make him a to-do list today (which is annoying me, I'm not your manager and that is just another job for me, but I digress...) and car seat will be #1 on the list. I'll start throwing a bag together today too, but I'm not too worried about it. I live 10 minutes from the hospital.
2) I'm a big soup fan. There is a Potbelly next to my office and I've probably gotten chicken pot pie soup 3 days a week for the last 4 months. Its almost embarrassing to go in there at this point lol. At home, I usually grab dinner leftovers.
To be fair, I was SURE I would have down time (lol) and I packed my kindle too. Little did I know it would be MONTHS before I picked up a book again, lol.
Also, to the OP... (I know I don't go here anymore, but I cannot help it!)
I packed my bag the day I was called to be induced, so 38 weeks. lol. I did have the car seats installed by like 34 or 35 weeks, I think.

I have the baby book and a couple of magazines packed, and H claims he will pack a book again. Just, you know, not six of them!

1 book is reasonable, there is SOME downtime but 6 😂
MH also HAD to cut his nails and change Ds1 out of PJs before we left. DUDE IT IS TIME TO GO NOT SCREW AROUND FOR 10 MINUTES! And then we were only at the birth center for 10minutes before Ds2 was born.
I was going to install the car seat this week or next. I need to clean the car out before doing it, which is on the list this week.
I haven’t even thought about a hospital bag yet! We are within 10 minutes of the hospital, so I am not worried about it, but I guess I should start at least planning it soon.
For a quick lunch, it’s usually a smoothie or soup, depending on the day. The warmer it gets, the more I have been making or buying smoothies.
1) packed my bag starting at 28 weeks this last time, and it was fully packed by 33 weeks (which was when I had my first labor scare). Car seat base was installed by 36 weeks. I left the seat itself in the house until go time.
And I packed my nook the first time (and actually read it while in labor), just my phone the second time (which has a nook app and kindle app). DH packed laptop and the Fire stick both times.
oliviapope , there must be something like that towards the end, because I distinctly remember nausea coming back at the end of pregnancy. I only puked a couple times during first tri (& they were when 1) I stupidly took me prenatal on an empty stomach, and 2) I foolishly went for a run on an empty stomach), but more than once during the last month I sprinted from my desk to puke.
I have a random question too, is there some surge of hormones at the end of pregnancy too? The mood swings are wild right now lol.
Absolutely! I refused to even answer the phone at the end because everyone and everything annoyed me. I even posted here that pregnant women 38-40 weeks should be in a spa like seclusion from the outside world.
I had the car seat installed at 37 weeks and packed my bag a few days after. I took the bag with me everywhere during the last week. We live about 40 miles from the hospital so I wanted it with me. If I was showing any signs of early labor I’d pack it earlier. Also, my first son came 4 days before his due date, so I went off that.
Almost 35 weeks and I have my hospital list and set aside a few travel toiletries and baby outfit. Nothing packed yet. We went with a different brand of car seat than my other kids so I need to install this week to make sure I know how to do it properly. I’ll probably take it out and have DH reinstall base right before induction date.
Last time I didn’t pack the bag until I was in labour at 41w3d. I had sort of made a pile of some things to pack a bit earlier (maybe 39 weeks?) but I didn’t pack the or get the last things until labour had started. I’ll probably do something similar this time but might actually put it in the bag and not just in a pile on the changing table. We didn’t have a car back when DS was born so we obviously had nowhere to install the car seat. The taxi driver helped me install it for the ride home from the hospital. Then I installed it (and removed it) several times in various rentals and car shares. Now we actually have a car but I don’t think I’ll install it until we need it. I’m the only one with a license so I doubt we will take our car to the hospital (unless I’m being induced). So we will either take a taxi home again or someone (my dad? he will have just moved much closer to us) will have to pick us up. So no point in having the car seat in our car.
I’m no help for lunches. I eat a hot lunch from the kitchen at work every day I’m working and on days off I usually have leftovers or something like pasta and meaty with DS.

I legit love love love my job and I cannot believe how annoyed I am by everything job-related right now. I will be done with work towards the end of 38 weeks but if I manage not to fire anyone before then I'll be super proud.
