My work shoes died, and I need help finding new ones. The office is business casual. I prefer a bit more shoe than a flat since I walk several blocks from my car to the office (on the rare occasion I'm not WFH), and I prefer to be able to wear socks in the freezer (aka the office). The shoes were several years old and are not made anymore. They were Clarks, but I can't find any similar ones. I'm looking for an Oxford/lace up style shoe as opposed to a loafer for a few reasons I'll spare everyone. I want a soft sole for comfort. Black or grey to match most of my work wardrobe. No heel although most are not "flat." I'm ok with the heels on most I'm seeing. I'm having no luck finding exactly what I want, though. My budget is $100-125, but I'll go higher if I need to.
Something like this would be good but not such a loud pattern:
I wear Cole Haan oxfords, that retail for over what your budget is but I just hold for sales. I don't generally spend more than $110 or so, and sometimes <$100. I have a pair similar to these:
and like them a lot.
I also have a pair of Madewell oxfords ("Juliette") pinned that are less sneaker-like but have never tried them.
