Warren has several advantages in the presidential contest, too. She has the lowest unfavorable rating among Democrats of any of the leading Democratic contenders. Just 9% in this poll view Warren unfavorably, while 72% have a favorable opinion of her. Democrats’ favorable rating for Biden is one point higher than Warren, but twice as many Democrats view Biden unfavorably compared with Warren.
Warren also doesn’t have the baggage of age, as Sanders and Biden do. It is the most common word used by Democratic primary voters when they are asked to describe each of them. Democratic voters use a variety of words to describe Warren, and nearly all of them are positive.
I'm a little confused as to who Yang's donors are too.
I've seen some "Math" hats around. I think it's partially about the basic "Make America Think Harder" slogan (and the basic support of math) and partially about representation. They aren't Yang or bust types. It isn't about getting him elected. It's about tossing a cursory donation towards him so there can be an asian voice in the conversation and so their kids can see someone from their community engaged on a national stage. I don't begrudge that.
This is 538 about the 3rd debate (In September I think). I generally concur that the field is going to narrow a lot functionally by September. Sure some folks in the bottom tier my hang on through February 19's 4 states primary/caucus but if you don't make any progress by the end of February it is going to be very hard to make a come back.

I listened to the podcast version of Kamala’s town hall, and she was fucking great. I was practically cheering at the end when she talked about being the one who could successfully prosecute the Trump administration on the debate stage. I also appreciated just how ANGRY she is about the abortion bans. I remember how emotional and proud I was when HRC stood on that debate stage and gave the first full-throated endorsement of reproductive choice, and I will be good goddamned if I’m going to be ok with some half-assed bullshit from any candidate going forward. Ever, but especially now.

Where can I find this? Thanks for flagging!
I need a master town hall schedule. I can’t keep up!

I found it in the feed for the Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell.
I love Warren's childcare savings calculator. This is good marketing for her. elizabethwarren.com/kids/
I am all in for this. It’s about time we stop assuming everyone has either enough money for pricey daycare or someone who can be home.
@@@@@
That would have been an absolute game changer for us. I became a SAHM because each of us earned less than $30K when our oldest was born and we were in NYC. H was in graduate school for engineering, and I was a museum employee, so his career won as it had significantly higher income potential and neither of our incomes alone was enough to cover childcare, and we couldn’t afford to pay childcare, rent and groceries on our combined income.
I’m just now finally back to museum work and making $10/hr, whereas had I remained I. The workforce for the past 12 years my earnings would presumably be much higher as I wouldn’t be trying to rebuild a career from scratch now:
Whenever I think about what question I would ask if given a chance at the Warren event tonight, all I keep coming back to is, "I just want to burn it all down. What's your plan for that?" Between the census fuckery and the abortion fuckery and @@@ the dead kids in ICE custody, literally every normal policy issue just feels so small.
The GOP is very good at framing policy debates and elections in existential terms. So far, nobody in our massive race seems to be able to do that. I understand that Democrats tend to be more harshly criticized by the media for being "uncivil" than the GOP, so nobody wants to stick their neck out. But in a field of 20+ candidates, it sure would be nice if we had one issue candidate willing to run on the policy platform of eradicating the GOP from civil society.
The Warren town hall ended up not being a town hall. She said it was her largest event yet! They were unprepared for the crowd size, and the event started very late. So no opportunity for questions.
She’s a great storyteller. Really fantastic. Some of her stories I had not heard before and they were moving. My H was less excited by her than me and was really happy he attended.
The downside was that the crowd was WHITE. Oakland is 25% white. This was like 80-90% white. The Hillary event I went to in 2016 was much smaller and far more diverse than this. It was so white that even the elderly white couple standing next to us was talking about how white it was. So she’s got a lot of work ahead of her.
That said, at least the white people included a strong showing for the dudes. Possibly even more men than women.
RIGGED!!! Hey guys: according to BS-land: the Democratic establishment (which has obviously overtaken MSM 🤪) has already foolishly jumped ship on the self-professed non-Dem Bernie Sanders... www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaGt5git8DU
First, they need to re-examine the security protocol because that took way too long to remove the guy.
Second, I’m sure the guy is a Bernout and fuck all of them. Go snatch a mic from Swalwell or Beto or Moulton, you asshole.
Yeah, the folks blaming Trump and Trumpers need to re-evaluate themselves. This isn't someone screaming about libtards and Second Amendment rights and religious freedom. I (figuratively) kicked someone in the kneecaps for saying most environmentalists were right-wingers and this was obviously someone who voted for Trump.

I noticed that at the one I went to, as well. It wasn’t full-on white, but it would have liked to see more racial diversity than I did. Maybe 75% white.
Tweet from Gillibrand - showing when she was talking about getting women seats at the table and the asshole on Fox said, "but what about men?"...and her reply: They're already here. Did you not know?
