Susie that would definitely be frustrating. Sorry 😞
DD has been waking up throughout the night because she loses her soother and cries until you pop it back in. She used to use her thumb, but she no longer does that. I am up 4-5x a night to replace a soother and it’s getting old real fast. I am pregnant and have a touch of insomnia, and it doesn’t help matters when I just fall asleep then have to go stick a soother in. I think I am going to have to break the soother habit, but am dreading it. This just started a week or two ago when she got her first tooth, so maybe it will be short lived, but I am doubting it.
Just checking the boards tonight for the first time in quite and did a double take reading this post. Congrats on the pregnancy! Hope you’re hanging in there.
KellyEasterbrook thanks! And yes, we did a second round of IVF and it worked! I seemed to have forgotten about being pregnant and having a 7 month old at the same time! 😂 it’s a little different this time around.
scm1011 DD has slept through the night so I know she can, but it’s been so awful lately. I think last night she was also up 5x. I lose track after a while. And thank you!
icedcoffee thank you and good memory! We did go back, so we also had a 2 week vacation! We had done some testing that showed I was coming very close to the end of the road in fertility so away we went!

We’re back home and baby jet lag is sooo hard. He wakes up at like 9:30-11 and then doesn’t go back to sleep until 12:30-1 (6:30-7 EST). I’m hoping this adjusts soon so he stays asleep once we put him down at bedtime. Thankfully he does sleep from 12:30-1 until we wake up in the AM.

I finally put L down fully unswaddled tonight with a sleep sack. He's been doing great with an arm out, but he's only been down for 45 minutes and I've had to go in there twice already to help him back to sleep. I hope I get to actually sleep tonight.
He STTN again. 7-7. This is great, but I also need to transition him out of his Merlin suit and now I'm too scared to. He'll be 5 months next week so I think it's time, but I just know it means he'll roll onto his stomach and we'll deal with him get angry doing that.
Poor Z, osulori ! I hope its mild and she recovers soon.
Thanks! We got super lucky-she bounced back pretty quickly and aside from a bit of a cough is back to her usual happy self. Or at least she was until she got her 6 month shots+first flu shot yesterday On the upside her first wakeup wasn't until 4am so yay shots and yay sleep!

It went okay, I ended up putting an arm in about 3 hours in since I couldn't get him to fully settle back down. But, I'll take a 3 hour stretch to start, especially since it was only 11 when that happened. Hopefully it'll keep getting better.

4 month sleep regression = 🥱🥱🥱
So sleepy.
And we don’t have it nearly as bad. He’s just not sleeping 8-10 hours like he used too. Hoping it goes back to normal eventually. Lately I have to Dream feed and then he wakes up 4-6 hours later and then wakes up 3-3.5 hours after that for the day. Today was 6:30 and that is too early for me. I prefer 7:30-8.
I am losing weight at a rate of about 1-2 lb./month. I should be happy or at least content that the scale is continuing to move, but I still have 10 lb. to go to pre-pregnancy and I am having trouble seeing the difference in my body since summer. I've lost 7 lb. since August. I still look in the mirror and just see "yep, still fat." I don't feel like my clothes fit differently, I haven't really moved down in sizes, I can't figure out what gives. It is depressing. I keep wondering when I will feel like I've made progress.
I'm SOOOOOOO tired. DS2 STTN Sunday through Friday which was awesome. 7pm-7am. He's been in his Merlin suit which I've known we need to stop using because he's rolling a lot now, but I was really enjoying STTN. So...Saturday night he woke up once and I figured "ok---we'll transition tonight since the streak has been broken".
You guys--he was up like 6 times last night. He kept rolling onto his belly and getting angry. I'm going to do a "roll back onto your back" bootcamp when we get home tonight. LOL I remember with DS1 this phase was very short, but there is not enough coffee today.
icedcoffee, in my experience it only takes them 2-3 nights to figure it out (which doesn't help you today, I know, but it should be a short phase).
DD is a snotty mess. I missed 2 days of work last week because she had a low fever. I realized I haven't made it more than 2 full weeks without having to take a sick day since I went back to work in September. I only get 6 sick days a year so then it starts eating my vacation time. Spring cannot come fast enough!

Yeah--it was short with DS1 too, but today...coffee. I actually think he'll be happier on his belly or side once he takes a chill pill.
I'm ready for spring too. This weekend was such a tease. Hope she's feeling better soon!
Our weather is terrible! We might get snow and wind this week, which is a guaranteed power disaster for our area, which means H basically works non stop for a week. Blah.
D has been waking every 3 hours or so now. Better, but still crappy. I know the 9m sleep regression is coming too. He is officially on two naps now.
oh geez, sending coffee, icedcoffee! That was a brutal couple nights when DS did it, but echoing scm1011 it was pretty short lived. My DS was weird and didn't learn (or get strong enough?) to roll belly to back for a really long time, but he did learn to get comfortable on his belly after he rolled himself there after about 2-3 nights.
I feel like I've been playing chicken and dodging bullets with the low grade fever daycare exclusions. DS was excluded Wed. PM for a 100.3 fever, which I (and his teachers) thought was teething related. He woke up Thursday with no fever, so H & I split the day, and I used my half at home to get stuff done that I needed to take time off for anyway -- DS to PT, DS to flu shot #2, and registering DD for kindergarten. Friday he made it through the day at daycare with no fever. Then Sat he randomly hit a high of 102 at home. Yesterday was some 100.'s. This morning he was 97-98, so I sent him. Meanwhile DD won't get out of his face, and the last thing I need is, if he has anything contagious, for her to catch it. Count me in on ready for spring.

I’m with everyone waiting for Spring. I fell like I haven’t worked a full week in months and I’m still recovering from the virus that hit us over Christmas. I kept ds home last week and I think I caught whatever he has because I feel kind of worse. This might be bitchy to an extent, but I can’t stand when people knowingly send sick kids to daycare. I’m talking about knowing they have a fever or are just really off and still send them in. We have 2 families that do this and it really irks me. Last night the baby didn’t want to sleep until almost 11. Then woke up to eat 3 times. I’m so tired, can’t wait for bed already. Hope all the kiddos are feeling well this week.
We've all been sick for so long, just snotty cold stuff. I thought DD was getting better, but suddenly her cough is back with a vengeance. She didn't nap at all yesterday because of it and was a mess. She slept decent ish last night but coughed a ton, and then decided for like the 5th day in a row that it was time to get up at 430am 😩 whyyyy. I know she's sleep deprived!!
I had heard that year 1 in daycare was rough for everyone with illness, but I don't think I was prepared for it to be this terrible.

Popping back in...I was so bad at checking the boards while on maternity leave. Today is my first day back at work and I literally cannot wait to get home and snuggle DS. This morning was so hard to leave him...and the little shit somehow KNEW I was going back today because he was awake from 2:30-4am. He hasn't done that since he was teeny tiny. He'll be 3 months this week and still isn't consistently STTN...he's done it a handful of times, hoping he gets it soon.

We’re in the same spot. DD is still up for two full wake ups. I’m struggling because DS was sleeping through the night at 9 weeks. I know this is normal, but I’m so tired.

Seriously! We’ve transitioned to all formula due to weight gain issues and I thought when I dropped his bedtime nursing for a bottle maybe he’s sleep longer, but no such luck. One of these days our kids will get it. I just wish it was like yesterday.
The last three nights/mornings we've had an hour+ wide awake party. Saturday night/Sunday AM and this morning it was 5am, yesterday morning it was 2 am. WTF GIRLFRIEND, GO BACK TO SLEEP.
