This is great news! How did the rest of the night go?
My kid didn't really go to sleep until 10:45 (DH tried putting him down after his 8 pm bottle but just wasn't ready yet) but then he just had the one wake up at 1:45, down by 2:45, then slept until 6:45.
We survived the fireworks last night! I was terrified that the noise would keep DD up all night, but we turned up her white noise machine and she STTN. Haaaaaaaaallelujah.

We're getting there!
330 and 5. Then dad hung with him until just now at 715. I think the gas and swaddle anger just build up as the night goes on. My poor boobs aren't happy though!

Yeah the early mornings seem to evade us as well....hope you guys see some relief soon!

I remember this with C too. The wake up time definitely ebbed and flowed, even now. But we lost one if not two wake ups, which is definitely progress!
melmaria, I was too. We originally had our kiddo in a bassinet in our room and couldn't use the Miku anyway because we couldn't suspend it over the bassinet in any way. Room sharing lasted all of 4 days, it was a total disaster. We moved him to his crib and it's been smooth sailing since (well...when he actually sleeps). Like Susie, we follow strict safe sleeping practices and felt this was the best option for everyone.
pooh8402, how invasive is the therapy? I'm so over pelvic exams after years of fertility treatments and pregnancy.
Fairly invasive, unfortunately. Especially the first appointment where she was evaluating my strength manually. I spend every appointment Donald Ducking it because the biofeedback electrodes are attached to my perineum.
And I agree about being over pelvic exams after a combined 5 years of IF and pregnancy. At the same time, it's also like, well, everyone else has been down there, join the party!
Omg. I really wanted to do it after DD is born, but I feel like I would run out and never be able to come back. Which is such a weird reaction from me because I had like 15 people in the room when I gave birth and my personal motto was usually “oh it’s fine, everyone in this hospital has seen me naked.”

What about breast milk poop? Baby girl saves up for 3.5 days and then has a quick very liquidity, very abundant stool that often leaks a bit. She has always pooped like this since she was old enough to not poop with each meal.
Does anyone else have this experience? I’m worried that her regular routine will run afoul of the daycare diarrhea policy, and I will have come get her twice a week. She’s not sick and a dozen people can vouch for it being her normal, but technically it’s a loose stool that is sometimes not contained.

I’m almost positive this is completely normal. It was for both my kids until they started eating solids at 6 months. It’s just what EBF poops are like.
It’s 5 am and he’s up but it’s actually my first time up with him. We tried an earlier bedtime last night and waking him up for a dream feed at 10:30 (which DH gave him via bottle) but he only ate like 2 oz then woke up again at 12:30. I was so dead asleep that my husband took that wake up too and the kiddo apparently didn’t go down until 2 at that point. Whoops. I feel so bad! Now it’s 5 am and I’ve sleep 8 hours and feel awesome. 😂 Poor husband.
DD slept 7p-6a with only 2 wake-ups last night, which is great for us. I got an awesome 4 hour stretch, followed by a 3 hour stretch. She definitely sleeps longer stretches in bed with me (DH has been banished to the guest room for now).
Would it be weird to get a cheap car seat to keep attached to the stroller? I will be walking Ds1 1/2 mile to & from school (Ds3 and the almost 4yo will be with me) starting when Ds3 is 2 months old And the gilder board doesn’t work when the stroller seat is flat.
Or is there a sit & stand that works for NB with out a car seat?
Normal? - D hasn't pooped in 30 hours and counting. He is 5 weeks. - It doesn't appear he gained any weight last week. Based on a sudden, temporary increase in poops he may have caught our stomach bug, but still.
namasteak, can you just wear the baby? That’s what I’ve been doing for daycare pick ups (we walk a mile each way). It’s rough in hot days though, so i could see if that’s stopping you in TX. Do whatever makes your life easier!
Earlier this morning I started feeling like I was hit by a truck (chills, aches, 101 fever) and me and DD have spent most of the day napping together. I’m nervous she’s gonna be up all night now. Here’s hoping no one else in my fam falls victim...
DS had his 1 month appointment today and is finally past his birth weight!!!!
Woohoo! Zoe is taking her sweet time getting back to birth weight too...or at least it feels that way. AJ was back at birth weight 24h after my milk came in so this is new to me. I'm not sure if all my feeding therapist knowledge is a blessing, a curse, or both in this situation
hamster it’s normal for EBF babies to go several days without pooping
scm1011 Yes I can but I’m afraid wearing him for that walk twice a day will hurt my back. Anytime I wear him in a walk more than 10min it starts to get sore. Also I would go to urgent care because that sounds like the start of mastitis or the flu. How are your boobs? Sore or any red lines?

I forgot you were a feeding therapist! Would you please look at my “what is this rash post”? Ds3 has one I think might be caused from how he eats from the bottle.
Also is it normal for bottled fed babies to dribble a lot of formula out? Or is that a potential latch issue I need looked into?
ETA - not even sure if this is something you would know about

I was worried about that at first too, but my boobs seem fine. I’m gonna see how I feel tomorrow morning. My fever has already dropped a little (100.4), so hoping it’s just some sort of 24 hour thing.
