We just got a new bedspread that is gray, blue, and while striped. I love it. We have never done anything to our bathroom, and it’s awful. The people who owned our house before us did atrocious things to all the walls. The master bath is the last that needs to be changed. They put on kind of baby poop yellow paint using some sort of sponging technique. We are changing that very soon. MIL gave DH “paying someone to paint your awful bathroom” for Father’s Day. I’m thinking of painting it a light blue or light yellow. Our bedroom is a very light blue (looks almost white) and I may go with something similar.
Our bathroom is brown, brown, brown, and brown. It’s super masculine and we both hate it. The whole thing is on the chopping block soon! No idea what direction we’ll go with it. Fun fact? They painted the whole house before listing it. It used to be mustard yellow. So apparently there are worse things than an all brown bathroom.
Our bedroom walls are gray, duvet is blue, gray, and brown, and our carpet is... green. The green is not as awful as it could be, but not ideal. We plan to replace all the carpets upstairs once I’m convinced I don’t need to worry about a kid getting it soggy.
The people who lived here before us had really questionable tastes. But pricey tastes, so it feels wrong that we’ve gotten rid of some of their relatively expensive things (weird flower light fixture from Italy, for example) and replaced them with things that are more our style, but definitely not anyone’s idea of high end.
I painted our bedroom navy blue when we moved in 8 years ago, and I still love it. The master bedroom is the largest room in the house and gets a lot of sun, so a dark color works. Our bedspread is a mix of grays and whites. We also got new carpet upstairs when we moved in. We probably should have gone with a darker shade if we'd known we'd have 3 kids soon, but the beige carpet looks fine mostly.
The master bathroom had peeling wallpaper when we moved in. A few years ago we had the wallpaper ripped out and walls painted a non-offensive off-white, got a fresh coat of paint for the double vanity, and replaced the fixtures like mirrors, towel holders, etc., and added some new artwork and little succulents on the windowsill. So now I like it just fine - it's modern but nothing fancy. Given unlimited funds I'd love to rip out the tub/shower combo with older glass doors and replace with a walk-in shower, and get new floors, but it's totally not a priority.

Our master bedroom and bathroom are kind of a teal color...I can't remember the name of the paint color off-hand. We've had it that color for a couple years. The duvet cover is off-white and light teal, to compliment the wall color and lighten up the room a bit. In another year or so, I may repaint (or pay someone to repaint it) a bit lighter shade of the same color as it feels dark on cloudy days. I have an aunt who is an interior designer, so I should probably just ask her for help when we decide to make a change.
DH and I would like to redo the bathroom, which could be $$$ if we reconfigure it. (Right now it's technically 2 rooms; the room you walk into from the bedroom is a double sink along one wall and then a soaking tub on the opposite wall and then a smaller room off of that with a toilet and shower.) At a minimum, we'd like to tear out the molded shower with a slider door and put in a tiled shower with a swing door.
No master bathroom but the bathroom has off white walls, white pedestal sink, toilet and black marble with gold and white swirls for the shower walls. When I moved in the walls were red like coke can red, big sink and golden laminate floors. I took out the big sink and redid the laminate floors and painted. The shower is a major project so has had to wait and wait and will be waiting a lot longer to get redone. I change up my bath rug and shower curtain every 6 months or so which is why I like the white walls plus the bathroom is very tiny. The sit on the toilet brush your teeth and bath the dog all at the same time small.
Master bedroom: is a hodgepodge of colors. Burgundy black out curtains, a heavy brown bedspread during winter and plum light spread during the summer, 1 mint green wall, and a whole lot of extra stuff. It is the biggest room in the house so all the extra stuff gets thrown in our room. I have to repaint the living room and hallways this summer but after that I'm going to start to slowly redo our room. I know the walls and curtains will be neutral because we change up our bedding a lot since they wear out quickly.

Our full bathroom is a yellow toned beige with light beige and white swirly tiles. It's really quite neutral so I have a brighter colored paisley shower curtain.
Bedroom has a pretty brown beige paint color - we haven't changed it since we moved in. The curtains and bedspread are a mossy green. We're planning to move next summer so that room needs to be painted. Probably something neutral-ish either in a beige or light green/blue so I don't have to change the bedspread.

Our bathroom is white. The tile in there is a weird color and the bathroom is small so I just had them paint it white and we have navy towels and a navy and white striped shower curtain. I don't hate it.
My master bedroom is a pale pale blue that looks white unless you really look at it. I do not like that. I wish it was a darker color. Not a dark color - pale blue would be fine - but I wish you could tell it was a color.
mommyatty in my experience, yellow is one of the hardest shades to get right.
Agree. It always ends up darker than it looks on the swatch. (We learned that with a bathroom in our last house.) We have a walkout basement, but wanted a light and bright color, so we picked yellow, and went with one of the lightest shades of yellow. It barely looked yellow on the swatch, but it definitely came out as a soft, light yellow on the walls. So it luckily worked out for us in this house.

Our master bedroom is SW temperate taupe We chose it and it’s a nice subtle taupe but it’s nothing special. It’s not my favorite but it’s fine. We just redid our master bathroom and I love it. Love love love everything about it. I’ll try to find pictures.
Both the master bath and bedroom are what they call a eggshell mineral green. Rugs, curtains are navy. My bedspread is a quilt with various colors including those two. I would love to paint the bedroom a September sky blue, I had that as a kid. Dh adamantly refuses because it would be like sleeping in the day. He has all the opinions on decor for a guy.
My kitchen is a very pretty buttercream yellow. I love a bright kitchen. I loved it so much I kept the paint bucket and get them to match it when it needs repainting. I have seen some not pretty yellows on walls. Mustard, lemon. It can go wrong pretty quick with that one

The walls are off white (maybe eggshell?) in both the bedroom and master bath. I love the cushy gray carpet in the bedroom and the bathroom tile is black. The counter in the bathroom is white with bedazzeled drawer pulls. They're the same drawer pulls as the kitchen and everyone comments on them immediately. I can't paint because it's a rental. I added a purple bathmat and it really stands out against the black. I just put up green curtains with gold looping circles and it makes a nice color addition. I have a white bed spread and have been looking for something to give my bed and the room a pop of color, but so far I haven't made up my mind. I'm not sure if I'll put anything up on the walls yet.
The master bedroom has light blue walls, white crown molding, and dark blue carpet. It feels so relaxing to me. We don't have any curtains up since we had to fix that wall 5 years ago. But there are some crappy roller blinds for privacy.
We finally remodeled our main bathroom after almost 10 years of living in this house. We painted the walls a light gray and there is white tile with light gray swirls on the floor and surrounding the shower. The vanity and medicine cabinet are also white. I found a white shower curtain with blue/green accents and matching blue/green rugs to add some color to the bathroom. I can't believe we waited 10 years to get it done!
The previous owners had some sort of thing with wallpaper...They ripped large squares of this textured wallpaper and hung it all over the living room and hallways. It looks terrible and is a bitch to take down. Not to mention that the kids keep tearing at the pieces. I think I'll work on getting it all down over the winter with help from the kids. No idea what color to put on the walls when we are done though.
Khaki walls and white furniture, grey and white quatrefoil curtains, grey and white chevron burlap lampshades, grey ragged edge layered comforter. I’ve shifted from color to texture and like it.

Bedroom is light brown and bathroom is light green. Most accessories in both rooms are maroon. It works, im not in love with it, but not motivated enough to change it.
I changed out bedding, curtains and painted the walls a really pretty gray. The bedding I changed from a comforter to quilt. I love it. If I knew how to post a picture I would.
Master bedroom is a very pale pinkish/purple with white trim. It's super feminine and very peaceful. Bedspread is a funky paisley kind of design with fuchsia, pale pink, greys, purples... It sounds like a lot but it's really pretty and the paint color matches one of the bedspread colors almost exactly.
I redecorated after the divorce so this is all my choices with no input from anyone. I just need to replace the carpet. It's a terrible deep red right now and I totally got paint on it knowing I want to replace it. But I just haven't done it yet. I want a soft grey.
I don't have a master bathroom. The upstairs half bath is purple. It's basically just a kid bathroom so it's pretty bare.
I love gray. Our old bedroom was painted BM stonington gray. We have dark wood basic furniture with white sheets and a pale gray duvet cover. We had pops of teal and red.
Our new bedroom brought the teal lamps, bedding and furniture. But the room has not been painted yet, still a beat up white from previous owners.
Pulled all the carpet when we moved in an put down wood flooring. I hate wall to wall carpet.
The room’s dimensions are weird to me. It is big in sq ft but seems short in height (but really isn’t). I’m thinking of using wall paper on the wall behind the bed. Something with texture that elongates the wall, adding perceived height. Haven’t found exactly what I’m looking for.
In terms of colors, I like soothing neutrals in the bedroom. We are planning to gut the master bath too and will most likely go with an overall spa/serene vibe for the entire suite.

I took a risk and painted our basement play room SW lemon meringue. It is one of the most neutral yellows I’ve seen and turned out really pretty but in a subtle way.

Our bathroom is done in a light pinky-peach tile and white cabinetry. Most of the walls are tiled so I just continued the warm light gray paint in there and put out white towels and a white knot rug and called it done. It’s what it is and you can only do so much with peach wall tile. Luckily all the white cabinets mostly drown out the peach.
The bedroom is the same warm light gray with dark wood furniture, a light denim-blue with white accented duvet and either white or bright blue and white sheets. Then I have art I’ve bought on various trips in brighter blues and greens with splashes of gold-yellow. I am happy with how it turned out. It’s relaxing but not totally neutral.

Mine is navy and teal. Accent was supposed to a dark orange, but it has become red, orange, and yellow. The accents are subtle, but I am afraid it will look like I decorated in rainbow someday.
I think we have the same tiles in our hallway bathroom shower. I always thought that style was Old (70s/80s) but our house was built in the mid 90s. I’m waiting to redo it until the boys are a bit older as it’s their bathroom.

Our house was built in the mid-80s and also has two pink-pink showers. One day maybe we will redo them, but I’d much rather rehab the kitchen that was shoddily redone in the late 90s.
Our master bedroom and bathroom are both SW sea salt. It's a really pretty mix between a light blue/green. Our duvet cover is white and we have navy/white/teal curtains. I love the calm and relaxing vibe.
