I have a Roomba 690 and I'm glad I got it. I like being able to start it from my phone when I'm at work. I absolutely still need a regular vacuum. I have two children and do not find the roomba to be an alternative to regular vacuuming. It doesn't get corners, doesn't get under the table unless I pull all the chairs out (and even then....), doesn't get under the edge of the kitchen cabinets.
That said, whenever I run it I get a ton of junk up. I'm glad I have it as a supplement to weekly vacuuming, but it's not going to make regular vacuuming go away, at least not in an active household.
We don't schedule it to run by itself, we just charge it and set it in a room to do it's thing. I wish the battery lasted longer (does need to be recharged after a 45 min run) but it's fine for our small house.
We have the Shark Ion. It was a glutinous purchase, but I am so glad we did it.
I do have a Shark Rocket stick vacuum that I use as well.
I'm a Shark lover, so I would bet we would buy another one. They now have the docking station that cleans out the dirt trap - I thought about getting one of those.
ETA: It likes to hump lamp bases, but otherwise it works fantastic

We have a Roomba. I like it, but it does have limits.
I run it upstairs (90% carpeted and tile bathrooms, dog not allowed up there) once a week and that does a good job between monthly vacuums.
I run it on the main level (all hardwoods/tile with 3 area rugs, shedding dog lives here) on M, W and F and it does only an ok job. Things that make it only ok:
1. For some reason it sucks up the fur, but will sometimes redeposit it on the area rugs. Not sure why. Other times it sucks the fur into the mouth of the roomba, but it never seems to make it into the bin of the roomba. Also not sure why.
2. It won't go onto my shag area rug which is understandable, but sad I guess.
3. It started shredding my dining room area rug so now we don't let it in there. This is really sad and doesn't really make sense because it's not a plush rug and it doesn't have fringe, but it was shredding it and then leaving clumps of rug all throughout the house.
So....I still vacuum weekly on the main level. It does help a bit, but I wouldn't say it's doing an amazing job.

I have a few different Neato brand ones that I love. We have one for each level of the house and have them all set to run at 1pm. Supposedly the D shape is to help it get into the corners which it does pretty well at but not great. It also does pretty good with pet hair even from our Shepherd which is something we were worried about since it is so long.
I'd recommend getting one that has the virtual no go lines so you don't need to lay down the magnetic strip. Ours kept making it under my treadmill but couldn't get out.

Would buy again (in fact we are getting a second one so we have one on each floor
We have the Deebot. The basic model. It is fine.
I don't clean corners.
We've had it 8 months. It runs for about 1.5 hours. It is set to run daily at 1 pm. Our house needs it daily.
We have adjusted decor to the robot. No area rugs, no shag carpet, etc. I moved power cords out of the way. It gets under everything like chairs and couches. Everyone in the house is trained not to leave out things that Roberto will eat. When messy visitors leave stuff on the floor, Roberto will drag it all over. Like phone chargers.
I never use our regular vacuum anymore, except for the stairs and cars. But the floors are fine with daily service from Roberto.
I LOVE mine!! We have the Shark one. The only downfall is having to unplug chords under the couch and clear a way so it has no obstacles. It's also kind of loud.
We have a small house with all wood floors and large area rugs. I've heard people say it doesn't work as well on carpet, not sure if that's true. It works great on our rugs, though.
1)Are you glad you bought one/will you buy another one? And if so will you get the same brand? Not really, it was pretty expensive for how poorly it operates.
2) Which one do you own? Roomba, it was like $300
3) Pros/cons It would constantly get stuck in our foyer. Roomba CS said it was b/c the area was too big, so I moved the wall into just the main living areas. Now it just gets stuck under furniture randomly. It also has trouble finding home.
4) Do you still need a traditional vacuum for corners etc? Yes, it often doesn't really get everywhere even though it says it completed the job. It regularly can't seem to remember to go in between our couch and ottoman, even though there is plenty of clearance.
Also, I can't run it when the dog is home, so for our schedule, it probably wasn't a great idea. It's not that the dog doesn't like it, it's just that she's 11 and I don't need to disrupt her days with this crazy thing going around the first floor when she's home alone.
I was hoping to run it when we went to bed, but it is SO LOUD on our hardwoods and bumping into every little thing. I had no idea how loud it would be.
I bought a Roomba from Costco a few weeks ago. Not sure what model it is.
We have a dog and a cat, and run it daily. The bin is always filled with pet hair and I have not seen tumbleweeds of pet fur tumbling down the hall since we got it. Even DH, who rolled his eyes at the purchase, is impressed. He named it R2D2.
It kept getting lost initially, and we would have to retrieve R2D2 from where the battery died until we moved his dock into a more central location (we had it docked behind the sofa, in a corner) and that seemed to solve the problem.
We have the Shark Ion. It was a glutinous purchase, but I am so glad we did it.

Pretty much all of this. It has changed my life with dog hair. I run it daily and love it. Except for last week when it hooked my flat iron cord and then drug it around the house while my dog chased it. Didn't hurt anything, but the barking and loud noise scared the crap out of me when I didn't see what was happening. 🤣. We only have carpet in our bedrooms and it does great on wood and tile.

Yes I love mine. I had a eufy and liked it well but it lasted 13 months. I bought a roomba and returned it because it was too loud. I now have a shark and like it well. We have a lot of hardwoods downstairs and it picks up a lot of grass, food, dirt and dog hair. I notice a big difference when I don’t run it a few days. I still use the regular vacuum for our carpets. When my eufy died, both Dh and I did not wait long to decide we had to have another
I have a basic level roomba and use it primarily in the kitchen and living room (our high traffic areas) to reduce the frequency I have to vacuum manually. I’ll throw it in bedrooms when I think of it for the same reason.
It replaces traditional vacuuming fine for the kitchen tile (I do still need to mop every week or two), but my dyson gets WAY more stuff out of the carpet than the roomba. We have a cat so maybe without that hair/dander it wouldn’t be such a stark difference.
If buying again I’d get a higher model with the brushless spinners that don’t tangle hair up as much, but I am VERY glad we got it. I was needing to sweep or vacuum multiple times a week or constantly step in kitchen crumbs.
I have a roomba, not sure which model. It is wifi enabled so I can start it from my phone. I love it. I feel it picks up more than I would guess it would and generally does a good job. If it died I would likely get another one (although we've only had this for a year or so, so it better not die anytime soon).
1. Yes yes yes yes yes. I used to joke that if my house caught on fire, I would make sure all live creatures are out and then go back in for my robot vacuum.
2. We have a Neato, I bought it in 2015 I think? I would buy another Neato or look into Eufy which I did not know about when I bought. I'm on a budget and the Roombas cost significantly more, plus I've heard read they are more like a broom/sweeper while the one I have is a vacuum.
3. Mine is older but it uses magnetic strips to block off areas, which can be kind of awkward. It's not great on the tile floor in the kitchen, it seems to get jostled going between tiles and the dirt tank pops up so it stops. I use a regular vacuum in there.
4. I occasionally go get into the corners with a regular vacuum but this is great for keeping my house clean on the regular.

We have the Roomba. I run it upstairs on all three carpeted bedrooms once a week and I think it does a great job; however, it’s really only vacuuming my hair, since DS isn’t mobile yet and the cat isn’t permitted in the bedrooms, lol.
We vacuum our main living area with a traditional vacuum.
So, I DON'T have a robot vac but I'm going to chime in anyway. We didn't want one because we have pets, kids, and way too much crap over our floors to make it worth it. But we needed something because our dog sheds like you wouldn't believe. Our house is all hardwood, so we don't need a vac for carpet. (don't even have area rugs because animals pee on them) What we got instead was an eyevac, which you might have seen in salons; it's an automatic dustbin. Sweep up to it and it vacuums up all the crap. It's super useful and we use it almost daily. Can't recommend it enough if you have hardwood/no carpet and don't want to invest in a a robovac.

I second all of this, except our Deebot just goes by "D". I enjoy yours being named Roberto though!
I have a roomba actually 2 and love them. My oldest one goes upstairs and it’s great but gets stuck under the bed sometimes. I run him 1-2 times a week in specific rooms.
Our downstairs roomba runs daily when we are out of the house because it is loud and annoying. My floors look much better. I work full time and DH rarely helped with vacuuming so we at most did once a week and it looked pretty bad in between. Now they look acceptable enough for guests on a daily basis. I still use a hand held vacuum on occasion and for stairs but I don’t use a regular big vacuum anymore.
I have a Neato and probably wouldn’t get one again in my specific situation. We had to set A LOT of virtual no-go areas because it gets caught on the fringe of one area rug, it was shredding a different area rug, and it gets stuck on my floor vents. It does an OK job when it doesn’t get stuck on stuff or in weird angles that it can’t maneuver out of, but that’s rare.
My dog is also afraid of it, so it kind of limits our ability to set to run automatically. I can really only run it when the dog is out of the house. And since it skips so much, we have to regular vacuum anyhow.
So no, it hasn’t replaced the regular vacuum at my house, LOL.

Mine is called the bobsweep. I had been wanting one for a while and it was on a flash sale online so I got it for about $150. It is awesome and works really well. I still use my regular vacuum once a week and my cleaning lady does a deeper clean every other week.
I’m so happy I bought one. My hubs thought it was a huge waste of money but even he likes it now.

I have a eufy and love it. I have a vacuum for spot cleaning but run the robot every morning. It gets up so much dust and dog hair. If the dog is gone, it can run two days before emptying, but it is emptied every night when the dog is here. Mine transitions fine and gets under the cabinets as the eufy is slimmer than most. Will most definitely get it again As long as it makes it back to the charger, we can do a second run in the evening. We have a bonus room upstairs and will shut it up there or in a bedroom that was shut off in the morning

I have the mid tier $600 Roomba. It runs every Monday morning. We have no pets to disturb, so we picked daytime when no one is home.
It is loud and he gets stuck from time to time, but overall we are very pleased with it. We don't vacuum our downstairs anymore. I also have the Bravaa to wet mop my master bathroom.
1)Are you glad you bought one/will you buy another one? And if so will you get the same brand?
2) Which one do you own?
3) Pros/cons
4) Do you still need a traditional vacuum for corners etc?
1. Yup! Yup! Yup!
2. Roomba.
3. Pro - cleans my floors; cons - it’s loud. But, we run at night so 🤷🏼♀️ The other con is that it can’t do my living room because the black in the carpet makes it think it’s on a cliff. 🙄🙄 I have found a hack for it so soon to be 👍🏻
4. We have a Dyson stick vaccuum for immediate messes.

1)Are you glad you bought one/will you buy another one? And if so will you get the same brand? I kind of hate it, especially now that it is older and has more issues of getting stuck and running out of batteries
2) Which one do you own? Neato
3) Pros/cons It vacuums the house twice a week and I don't have to worry about it/ The compartment fills up quickly; over time it started to do a shitty job; it gets stuck all the time!
4) Do you still need a traditional vacuum for corners etc? yes for corners and underneath things. Also I like to vacuum my couch from time to time.

I get new batteries for my Neato on Amazon once a year. I've had mine since 2015 and it still doing a good job.
