DD’s party went off without a hitch. It was a great party! But man, I am so tired today. Plus, I have a ton to do, and I have my first business trip in weeks this week. I think this is the longest I’ve gone without traveling when I wasn’t on maternity leave in the 11 years I’ve been with the company.
So, to sum it up, great weekend, butt dragging, no time for butt to be dragging.

DS had two Little League All-Stars games (one Saturday, one Sunday). They lost their game on Sunday, so they are out of the tournament. The good thing is that that means that DH's camping weekend with the kids the last weekend in July is still on, which means my weekend alone at home is still on.
Not much got done around the house (for the last month, I'll be honest) due to baseball, but my goal for the next few weekends is to start chipping away at catching up on cleaning up clutter around the house.
Lots to do at work this week and I have Friday off (my regularly scheduled Friday off) and Friday is DS's birthday, so I will not be doing any catch-up work that day.
ETA: The great thing about having a babysitter coming to our house this summer is when I forgot that I had laundry in the washing machine this morning (from last night) and I made a quick call to ask the babysitter to put it in the dryer, which saved myself from having to rewash it when I got home from work.

We had a good weekend. I didnt get a whole lot accomplished other than packing a few more boxes for storage and going to a street fair thing with one of my bff's.
We have 2 weeks left of summer break and they are going to be stupid busy between it being 4H time and closing on the new house. The kids are home with a sitter today and Wednesday. I have them tomorrow. Thursday DH and I are taking DS shopping for uniforms, supplies and bedroom stuff. I really hope we close Thursday or Friday. The last inspection was done on Friday and came back fine. I'm trying to be patient since the realtor is a family member, but he's not been the most efficient at communicating and patience is not something I have a lot of.

We had a really lovely weekend with lots of pool time. Friday we went to the grill out, Saturday morning I had a bike ride and then took the kids to the pool. Sunday was errands, my long run, and then I went to my triathlon group's party and the kids just played around the house until DH took them to swim lessons.
Low key but good weekend.
I had hoped to get some work done - I even took some work home with me. But in the end I didn't do any of it. Womp womp.
ETA: Today is the first day of VBS and I just dropped the kids off. My mom will pick them up and then DS' tutor is coming over to our house at 2pm to work with him for an hour. This will be our schedule for the week. It's nice and low key, which is cool, but I'm not used to having people other than my housekeeper be inside my house when I'm not there. My concern is that I left the house looking like a normal person's house, but by the time 2pm rolls around a cat could have puked on the coffee table or whatever.
Good low key weekend. I went to bed early Friday - I couldn't keep my eyes open and slept for 10 hours. Saturday was spent floating on a lake which was wonderful. Yesterday was catch up from all that has been neglected and actually cooking a decent meal.
Tryouts for volleyball are this week. I hope she does well. She will be so sad if she doesn't make it. We won't know until Wednesday. Hopefully DS will get some work in this week, but it is supposed to rain for 2 days, so it is not looking good. He only has 2 more weeks, and he has to quit to go to DC. He's disappointed he hasn't made as much as he thought for his truck, but the weather this summer has really sucked with all of the rain.

I had a great weekend! I left work early Friday to sign closing papers on my house. It's supposed to close today, FX!
After signing papers, I met up with new guy for date #4 and his birthday. We went to a nice restaurant on the water, followed by a sunset catamaran cruise. It had been overcast for over a week and it seemed as the sun came out just for us and we saw a beautiful sunset and views of the mountains. He surprised me with a hotel room at the end of the night. The next morning, we jumped in the car and went on a road trip to Eastern Washington just for dinner. I didn't get home until Sunday morning. It's scary that I can't find anything wrong with this guy, which is a first for me.

We had a great weekend. I came back on time on Friday and managed to go pick DS up from sleep-away camp. He had a blast. But apparently, only took 1 shower in 5 days.
The actual weekend was lots of outdoor time with the family. I have no other business trips planned till September, so I finally feel like I can relax.
traveltheworld - I am laughing about the shower thing. DD1 was required to shower daily, but not required to use shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, or deodorant. I’m hoping they just all stunk together. 😂🤢
I’m drowning. Colorado at the end of the week. DH just isn’t pulling his weight. We only had DS last week so DH unloaded the dishwasher - refused to reload it. I had literally 14 things left on my to do list for the day, he wasn’t willing to take anything as he wanted to nap and relax. Had a talk and that better for real end or one of us isn’t going to make it through this week. I’ll be fine, ha. He better get it in gear. He did end up booking the hotel for the first night in CO and will book in W TX as well.
Nothing at work is working - things that should be slam dunks are broken. Things that should be complex are a CF. I am almost speechless.

Dh and ds had a race this weekend but thankfully it was less than 2 hours from home so we got back at a decent hour last night. But I’m exhausted. I forgot my thyroid meds at home so didn’t have it sat or sun (took when I got home last night) and didn’t get enough sleep and am pooped.
Work is crazy nuts. I’ve been working 55-60 hours a week and am still falling behind. This week is going to be awful. I feel so overwhelmed.
On the bright side, I ordered a robot vacuum this morning for prime day. It was $123 and has good reviews. I had two roombas more than 7 years ago that both broke and we never replaced them. My kitchen floor is over my dirt tolerance level so I’ve been waiting to buy another one.
I just had to fire a sweet old lady and it didn't go well. She's a vendor and hasn't been able to keep up with our projects and it's been kind of inevitable. But she was shocked, pissed, and might have been on the verge of tears on the phone.
And now I get to spend my afternoon/evening with my least favorite vendor.
Another laid back weekend here. Next weekend is a concert and birthday party, followed by camping, followed by back to back family visits neither of which I am thrilled about. So I took the opportunity to not make plans this weekend. I can't remember what we did really on Sat.
Sat night we saw a movie and DH complained about his performance review. I don't know how he does it, but he manages to make a great impression for his interview, then a poor impression when he first starts work (very hostile and negative apparently) and then usually turns that around although I wouldn't say always. It makes me worried from a purely economic point of view that there is so much conflict in all his jobs. I really thought he had learned and was doing a great job- he even got a book called the first 90 days and was following it. Such a bummer that all his learning and feedback and trying to improve still didn't help him. Although he thinks it is partially people that didn't get a promotion that were complaining.
Then Sunday was a brewery and then the pool after. Kids also had swimming lessons. It is so nice not to have activities in the evening. I know soccer will start soon and destroy all that and then dance and then girl scouts, but for now- it's just so amazing.
Hike yesterday was fun. DD had so much more fun with a friend along who had never been hiking before. It was also nice to have another adult with to help and talk to. But it was so short and so much time in the car. I didn't even get my 10k steps in until 9pm last night. Hike was less than 2 miles. Glad to be done dog sitting. My house smells like dog and it normally doesn't. It doesn't with 3 labs but does with my dog and a dane/boxer mix. Goal tonight is to do some major cleaning as I did none over the weekend. My dog didn't get sick after her dental at the vet. I was so worried but adding the meds in with a different anesthesia worked. Poor baby was just really tired and loopy.
DD has gymnastic camp this week so I have short days all weekend and may try and take Thursday off completely for a mental health day.
I just got word that they are moving a supervisor and her two staff under me, because I am so great. Still no word on the promotion. That sounds about right. Happy Monday.
It is definitely a Monday here. Woke up feeling blah, taught a class for 6 hours on my database and now trying to set work up for success since I will be having surgery tomorrow to hopefully fix my ear once and for all.
I still haven’t gotten final word on whether I’ll be the official lead on my new client. But otherwise it’s been a pretty good Monday. We got home from our 10-night trip last night and I mostly unpacked, and everyone slept well. I got a workout in today and caught up. I think July 4th and the following week were a pretty good choice to take off.
I get to go to a work related networking event at the Del Mar racetrack opening day Wednesday, and then Thursday I go to LA for another work related networking thing, and my coworker/good friend that I just visited in Portland is coming down for both, so it should be a decent week. I’ve been having enough fun lately that I’ve gained 5 lbs, so my lighter eating started today!
It just keeps getting worse. After firing the vendor, I got pulled into a meeting that literally turned into a yelling match between two colleagues that I had to awkwardly just watch and try to moderate, even though I don't manage either of them.
And then a project that I've been working on for months and dedicated at on of resources to imploded. It was going to launch in the next week or so. Instead, the entire thing is dead in the water and I'm back to the drawing board, but with an ASAP deadline.
