I'm pretty over this theme of "self care" on social media that basically implies anything a mom or woman wants to do for herself is this great luxury that they have to make time for. Like, people feeling like they have to justify getting a pedicure or just sitting on the couch all night. Just say you wanted new toe nail polish color, you don't have to #selfcare every time!

I don't know why this irks me but...
when people say "brother" instead of "your brother" or the actual name
like to a toddler with a new sibling "give brother a kiss"
or "we need to go pick up sister"
But I have a coworker (who I haven't heard say this) but in discussing it with her it seems so odd to her that I include the word "your", it's just extra and unnecessary to her so maybe I'm the weird one

"Things happen for a reason" esp in the context of sorry you didn't get a call back or the job, or sorry you have a disease, like no there's no reason for that.
"We'll figure it out" no, I need a plan Janet, like right now.

haha, i totally do this with my kids! i don't think adding "your" is weird or unnecessary, i just don't do it (probably because i'm lazy) when i'm talking to my kids about the other one. i also use their names sometimes, so i'm not all bad, lol!
When people drop "to be" out of a sentence, it makes me hate them for life. Like, "needs done." AHHHHHHHHHH. I saw it on a WEBSITE the other day and instantly closed it.

There seems to always be trends with bad grammar.
Right now, the one that’s really bothering me is went vs. gone. For example, I could have went to the movies but I was tired. Its like nails on a chalkboard.
On the social media front, when people say amazing AH-MAZING. Actually, the use of the word amazing in general. "I had an amazing weekend with the most amazing people and we saw an amazing show and ate an amazing dinner." It's totally overused and it drives me crazy. Esp. in MLM context about amazing products and being part of an amazing team and amazing results blah blah blah.

I can't stand when someone on Facebook or social media in general says "YELLING, SCREAMING AND HOLLERING A HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to whoever. You're not yelling anything. You're typing happy birthday to someone on Facebook so you don't have to call them just like the rest of us.
"And just like that [insert kid milestone that every single person experiences]."
Also, I belong to several teacher groups on FB. So many people post things like, "Need ideas for Andrew Jackson. Go." Like, WTF? First of all, manners. Second, pronouns. Third, context. Jackson on the $20? Jackson being a racist asshole? The people's president? The Great Father? NA Removal? I'm not planning your curriculum, dude.

"I don't know how you do everything" or "I don't know how you manage to do all of that" (i.e. referring to working, parenting, dealing with a spouse who has a 24 hr shift schedule, etc etc.).
"I don't know how you do everything" or "I don't know how you manage to do all of that" (i.e. referring to working, parenting, dealing with a spouse who has a 24 hr shift schedule, etc etc.).
And the martyr wars "wow I don't know how you do it with three kids!" "Oh I know, it's *not like I don't have x going on or I'm not busy tee hee" or The ones who put it out there too "what do people with (insert issue no kids, or no health problems or whatever) do with all that time?"
"Went" instead of "gone". "Seen"instead of "saw". My H and SDs families on both sides do both and they laughed at me the other day when I interrupted 6 yo DS to correct him.
My SDs open house is Sunday, and there is a lot of conversation about pictures she wants everywhere but she is pronouncing it "pitcher". Like that you pour drinks from. She says it 30 times a day and its driving me insane.
Also "deep dive" and "dont yuck my yum", a podcast I like is really funny but they use that one frequently and I hate it. People at work saying "do you have the bandwidth for [task]?" used to drive me nuts. My department literally coordinates microwave and I was like COME ON GUYS, but then I heard a regular person outside of work say it so apparently it's everywhere and not just my coworkers so I'm giving them a break now lol.
I can’t stand when moms (it’s always moms, in my experience) post inspirational pieces on what makes for good parenting. Your kid is 18 months old, Lindsey, I wouldn’t pat myself on the back just yet.
Same with women (again, I swear I am a feminist but I only see women do this shit) post memes about qualities they clearly believe they embody and how those qualities = good wife material.
