If my friend says “different seasons of life” one more time, I am going to lose my everloving mind. “She’s just in a different season of life. This season of life is so tough! It’s so funny how we are in different seasons of life right now!” OMFG just stoppppp.
Also, “let me unpack that for you” must be the podcast phrase of the month.
Well, I know it drives my H crazy when I say "it is what it is".
At work, there is this one manager who every time we have a telephonic meeting says repeatedly the first few minutes "we're still gathering". I don't know why, but it annoys the heck out of me.
A colleague makes CONSTANT training analogies using a toaster. Stuff about how "You can't show them how to use a toaster unless you have the toaster to show them" - and stuff like that.
When my H and I talk about something we're going to do in the future, he always ends the discussion with "we can talk about it." No. WE ARE talking about it. RIGHT NOW.

Oh my goodness, yes! My H does the same thing. We've made a decision, there is nothing to talk about. And when I bring it up later he acts like we never decided on anything. So damn annoying.
I'm pretty over this theme of "self care" on social media that basically implies anything a mom or woman wants to do for herself is this great luxury that they have to make time for. Like, people feeling like they have to justify getting a pedicure or just sitting on the couch all night. Just say you wanted new toe nail polish color, you don't have to #selfcare every time!
I know people mean well and usually say it when they don't know what else to say, but seriously...shut the fuck up. Sometimes it's okay to just say, "I'm sorry that shitty things are happening to you." instead of trying to summon inspiration.

At work: Thank you for sharing that when you say something they don't want to hear. At home: Almost everything my mom says. I'm so lucky to have a DH that cooks dinner and is involved with the kids. MissourA. She tells me things like it's my brother's birthday. I KNOW when my brother's birthday is mom!
