Fun conversations on my local TV station's FB page. Amazing the number of people who don't understand the Constitution and the Establishment Clause, etc.

All of the local tv stations' FB pages are shitshows. I'm pretty sure the "don't read the comments" advisory was created especially for local TV's social media. It is truly a cross-section of the worst people. It's made that much worse by knowing they're your neighbors and local business people.

This is KIRO so I think it's Sinclair Broadcasting. They're doing a "poll" and the number of "This country was founded on Christian principles" is really sad. Especially fun is my "misunderstanding of separation of church and state" and "where in the Constitution does it say..." because lol to that one.
This is another "FL did it first!" Get your own assy ideas, SD.
The way most of our districts have dealt with the (unfunded, of course) mandate, is to pop the state seal (which also features the phrase) in the front office. If your state seal isn't as godly, you can use ours!

YES! It’s like spending an hour at the BMV! (Guess who spent an hour at the BMV today?!🤪)
Most Evangelicals I know won’t put their kids in public school and they’re the only ones I could see making a big deal out of having this type of signage in schools. Public schools need to be inclusionary and as safe as possible for kids. This does not contribute to that.

I forgot to mention: KOMO is the worst because it's Sinclair!

Whoops. You're right. KIRO is Cox Communications. So only slightly not-as-horrible.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

They’re doing this in KY too, as if our public education system doesn’t have ENOUGH problems. And because it’s the Bible Belt and most people are poor as shit, nobody is in a private religious school - all of these shitty ass parents are like “THIS IS GREAT WE NEVER HAD PROBLEMS IN MY DAY WHEN YOU HAD SCHOOL PRAYER” and I’m like “your fucking generation elected a racist but go off I guess.”
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
I'm in a teacher facebook group and the debate over this is INTENSE. It goes without saying but some people really shouldn't be in public schools.
What baffles me the most about this is that it simply shouldn't be up for debate. At all. Yet all of these nuts who encourage this will also turn around and act like the constitution is the end all, be all document while they simultaneously completely ignore it.
