So, I got it in my head that I want to start printing annual family albums starting with 2016/17 when DD1 was born. I copied about a bagillion photos from my google backup on to my desktop computer, and am now trying to get them all onto shutterfly. But apparently a bunch of the photos are "HEIC" which shutterfly does not support. Can anyone help me fix this? I'll need instructions suitable for a 5 year old because I am tech dumb.
And now I have a mess because some of the photos uploaded and some didn't and idk how I'm going to keep track of it all and not re-upload and get duplicates everywhere.
If you download the Shutterfly app you can upload direct from your phone. Once a photo is uploaded it will put a small “S” in the corner to avoid duplicates.
If you are uploading from your PC, go to your folder and sort by file type. Cut the HEIC files and dump them in a new folder. Go to: heictojpg.com/ and you can upload up to 50 pics at a time and it will convert them to HEIC. Save them and then upload that new folder to Shutterfly. That will make sure you don’t get duplicates.
Going forward, go to your iPhone settings —> camera —> formats and select —> most compatible. It will prevent your iPhone from saving in the HEIC format.
