Dear self, Way to be productive already this morning. Maybe you can be a morning person? Signed, Up at 5am
Dear coworker friend, I'm sorry that you were give a 3R letter, retire, resign, or relocate. Yes, you've had reasons to use all of your sick leave with your ankle issues and dad's illnesses. But I also know you called in sick just because. So it doesn't surprise me that management is going after you for being negative in sick leave after 15 years with the government. And your weight is probably part of the issue too. Please lose weight because I want to see you healthy! Signed, I'm here when you need me and hoping this works out for you
Planning a "volleython" with a weeks notice asking kids to raise $200, get a $100 sponsor and parents donate toward food is asinine. Having during registration where parents have to pay $250 per kid (2 for me) plus put in their lunch accounts around $100 is even worse. Plus topping it off with having to order our gear for $200 this week, fabulous. We are not reaching our goal. We've got about $90 in donataions (DH's parent gave $10 - another rant), and I am not putting more money in. I don't know if other people don't budget. I am not super tight with it, but an extra $500+ with a couple of days notice in the middle of all this, is not going to happen. This better not affect playing time.
Signed, more broke right now than private school.
Dear coworkers
I have been working in community education for 17 years. I know what works in changing behavior. Changing policy. Training agencies in how to develop programing. Train the trainer. Science based activites. Advocating for laws that promote health. Handing out brochures at every air show, tournament, street fair, fall festival, picnic, old time days, trick or treat, apple picking, barn raising, etc.. creates litter, not meaningful change.
Signed, I have attended an ass load of trainings on this for a reason.

librarychica, seriously, can you imagine the size of the population if men gave birth instead of women? I had very little tolerance for DH's complaints after he got a vasectomy. This was my level of compassion with DH: Yeah, laying on the couch doing watching TV all day is real hard. Try having major surgery (C-section, with each kid) and then having to care for a baby on barely any sleep.

Dear therapist, Thank you for making me do the work and pointing out what I need to hear for the past year. I'm eternally grateful that I found you. But did you have to give me the tough love "Your marriage was abusive. These are all textbook abusive things that you are describing. You need to break the cycle of abuse" lesson during my lunch break? I think we call this a break through, but also, now I look like a crying, sniffly mess coming back to the office... Signed, Maybe I need to look into evening appointments
Ha, DH won't even think about it. He thinks I should have a hysterectomy instead so I have nothing to worry about. My OB was like nope, a vasectomy has way less complications, is in and out, and costs way less.
Dear Me I survived my first concert. It was backstreet boys DNA tour. My sister treated me so no expense for me. I haven't listened to them actively since my teen/college years. It was so loud and I could barely make out what they were saying. It also dawned on me that they sounded much better when they were young than 40+ guys trying to act like 20 year-old's. My ears still haven't recovered and I'm not a night owl so getting in at 1am and now working sucks. Tired deaf me
Dear DD I missed you. Can't wait to see you this afternoon when I pick you up. Mom

And the 40 weeks of being pregnant too!
My DH had a botched V, and honestly, it was awful. But certainly no more awful than my botched epidural, 2 weeks of spinal headaches, a blood patch, delivering two 8.5lb babies WITHOUT epidurals, and tearing from stem to stern both times. After my first kid, it took me 2 years, 12 doctors, corrective surgery that turned out to be unnecessary, perineal steroid shots, and lots of ice packs to heal from the tear.
But please, tell me how your b@lls were swollen for 2 weeks.
