This happened to me at the end of June. I called my gyn first then they sent me for a mammogram and ultrasound. I think either your gyn or PCP can refer you though.

I would see whoever you can get into quicker so you aren’t worried.
Just a positive outcome story, I had a lump that I had checked out and ended up with a mammogram, ultrasound, and needle biopsy. It was nothing but dense breast tissue. That was like 13 years ago and I have had an ultrasound since and I’m still fine. I was worried at the time because my doctor recommended immediate testing.

I had the exact same scenario a year ago. Fingers crossed yours a simple explanation too.

Definitely ob/gyn. They usually can fit you in quickly then will probably send you for a mammogram and/or ultrasound. I found another lump recently and it was old scar tissue from my mastitis/breast abscess surgery. I have very thick breast tissue and run into this often so it always isn't bad news Wishing you the best.

I went to my GP, so that I could be referred for a mammogram. Try not to worry (easier said than done). My GP felt it and said it felt ok and not like cancer. That relieved me somewhat. I got my referral for the mammo (they really are not bad at all). I had a mammo and ultrasound done in the same appointment. The doctor looked at it and was like it doesn’t look cancerous, but let’s do a biopsy. I got that done.
The biopsy hurt afterwards. It bothered me for a few days afterwards as well. I got my results the day after the biopsy and it was all good. Apparently my boobs have a cyst issue and I need to get checked every 6 months now. One thing I can suggest is that when they do the biopsy (they probably will), is to make sure you get the tag placed to mark where they checked. I didn’t and I wish I had.
Again, do not worry and stay off Dr. Google. Just get yourself in to be checked.

Same thing 2 years ago. Sending you good thoughts you're in the same boat!
But I agree - go with who ever can see you quicker for your peace of mind!

Thanks, everyone!! I called my ob/gyn and they can see me next Thursday, lol. The fact that they were so laid back about it actually made me stress less.
