Do you think this appropriate for kids? My 7 year old really, really wants to watch it.
I am enjoying the new season of the Great British Bake Off.
Gosh, I'm not sure. It depends on your child, of course. There is some violence, some of which is implied/off-camera. Since it's puppets there is no spurting blood, but there is LOTS of cruelty from the bad guys. If you've seen the original, you know some of the characters are "drained of their essence" so there's a lot of that. Truthfully I got tense in some of the scenes, but "zombie-ish" stuff makes me cringe anyway.

Have they seen the original movie? For the show, I think it’s scary and serious in parts, but I’m not sure how a 7 year old would interpret it. DH actually said he wasn’t sure who it was aimed at - kids, adults or both!
It’s rated 7+ on Netflix - not sure how they determine that. Could you watch an episode or two on your own & decide?

Child dependent of course but it's pretty violent, even if the violence is most often implied rather than overtly shown. Lots of death and cruelty, so I'd probably not let my child at 7 view it to be honest.

I only watched sporadically over 12 y/o DS's shoulder, but he mentioned that it was kinda violent... not that it was off-putting to him lol, but just surprising for a show full of puppets. As pp said, no blood, but implied cruelty.
