I’m getting it done next week. My first treatment was to get filler in my upper cheeks since I have no upper cheeks and she said it would look weird. I’m in SF, the cheek filler was $750 and the under eye will be $750.

Please update after you have this done!!
My undereye circles are beyond concealer at this point. I’ve tried drug store makeup, high end makeup, and the concealer from that old lady on TV who rubs it on her legs and says “it looks like I just put on a fresh pie of hose!” and none of it contains these beasts.

I had it done last September and I’m going again next month. I paid $1000, also in SF. Apparently I got the longer-lasting kind (Juvederm) that lasts at least a year, out to 18 months, and is pricier. I LOVE the results; I got about a 70% correction, which is considered great.
The process is a bit more involved than Botox but they use a numbing agent. You may have some bruising so don’t plan any important photos/meetings for the next week or so. (Mine wasn’t too bad. I was on camera the next day and you couldn’t even tell.)

What else do you want to know?
Longevity thus far?
Before/After pics?
I don’t have pics, unfortunately, or at least not ones where you could see a difference. (My doctor does, of course.) It’s been a year and I’m just now starting to wonder whether I need to go back for round 2. So at least a year.
I had mine done last year in July and am getting them done again this Thursday. Last year it took 1 syringe of juvederm and I paid around $500 because for the plastic surgeon office’s had an Anniversary sale, they offered 20% off.
I was swollen for about a week but they said not everyone swells.
I did it mainly because my under eyes have lost a lot of volume so no matter what, I constantly look tired. The filler just helps to even it out, but I still had some purple tinge under my eyes, as that doesn’t go away completely, but it was definitely better. I was so happy with it and can’t wait for it to be done. I’d like to get them permanently fixed, but I am afraid it will change my appearance too much, where this just makes my under eye even.
I have questions too. I have ALWAYS had dark circles, even as a child. So it's not a loss of volume issue for me, it's more face structure/genetics. They were worse with allergies and bad lifestyle habits when I was younger, actually.

It may be that filler will fill out underneath your eyes as you get older, but it won't make the dark circles go away. Like a PP said, it's genetics. BUUUT...go in for a consult to a dermatologist. They're always coming up with new products that may help with the dark circles.
Also the price ranges sound about right about cost for those types of fillers.

I just had this done yesterday. $750 for one syringe.
It hurt. While the injectible itself has some numbing agent in it, she didn’t numb the insertion point in my cheek and that def hurt way more than Botox. Unlike Botox the results are more or less instantaneous and she said it should last 9mos or so. She started with the one syringe (split between both eyes) for this treatment but already said she’d recommend doing 1 full for each side next time.

Would it work for me?
I had the same thing. It makes a big difference even if it doesn’t eliminate them. Waaaay less concealer is necessary now.

Got it done yesterday. I am swollen and bruised but I bruise easy so I am not surprised. It looks like a cried heavily so I’m getting some weird looks at work and I am meeting with our new CEO tomorrow so should be interesting.
It didn’t hurt but I sweated the whole time since the thought of a needle near my eye freaked me out. Here are some pics! She said it will take two weeks to fully be healed.

I got a black eye that lasted weeks. People are thought I was in abusive relationship. So don’t take any over the counter pain killers as it can increase the risk of bleeding.
I got a black eye on one side from this. It kind of sucked.
Oh no. Would you do it again though? I got a black eye once last year and nobody noticed because my under eye situation is just so bad.
I haven't yet. I probably would do it again but maybe with different provider? I also would not take any over the counter meds which apparently increase the risk.
I got Restylane in Oct. I've always had undereye circles but they had been getting worse and couldn't be covered anymore. I didn't even realize the loss of volume until I saw myself afterward ... so it's possible to not really realize it's not just "circles." Mine was $750 and results were mostly instant, improving a bit as swelling went down. (I didn't notice much swelling myself, when I went for a follow-up the doctor said there was some.) No bruising for me.
I will say definitely eat something beforehand. I passed out in the office lol. But I do faint fairly easily at that sort of thing so that probably just says more about me than the procedure. But its way more than Botox, which is super easy and painless in comparison. There are a couple of ways to do it, I had a cannula that gets fed through a small needle sort of at the top of your cheek. They numb it, so it's not really a lot of pain (although some) but it feels super weird like a worm is crawling under your skin. And you hear a popping sound which is also uncomfortable? So between those two things is why I think I passed out.
Even with all that, I think my results were worth it and plan to do it again when needed. Thankfully I should have some time to develop amnesia about it. I would probably feel differently if I had to do it every few months.
I went to a plastic surgeon for a consult and they said I wasnt a good candidate. I was totally bummed out and surprised they wouldnt take my money! they just said they arent comfortable that close to some vein i really want them though
