It is my off Friday and so far this morning I have fought with H, run a mile at my kids’ school in shorts that I normally would consider too short for an elementary school function but literally were all I had clean, was told by an old guy I don’t know that I should volunteer at said school more (short short connection or are they just short staffed?), made up with H and now I’m making bacon.
This weekend is insane (dog training! Swim class! Cookouts! Beach day 2+ hours away for in-law birthday!) so I am going to squeeze every possible errand and chore in to today.
No kids this weekend so I'm cleaning the house, catching up on laundry, etc between tonight and tomorrow.
Bought a ticket to go see a play by myself tomorrow night. It was a last minute impulse buy and I'm proud of myself for going even though I'll be by myself.
Sunday is date day. Currently trying to figure out if we'll just stay in and watch the game and then grab food or if we'll go do something outside since the weather looks amazing. Usually I love 1 PM games, but not on a beautiful sunny day!

I'm just so glad its Friday & I'm looking forward to SLEEPING in this weekend!! Haha. We were on a camping trip with friends last weekend, and their 2 yr old woke everyone up early both mornings. Zzzzzzz.
DH is off the whole weekend, which is great. DD has a soccer game in the late afternoon both Sat. and Sun. College football game to watch at 7 p.m. tomorrow. Maybe I will get motivated and do some cooking too.

Agree, TGIF. I'm actually WFH today, and it's nice to not have the commute and be able to work in peace and quiet. No plans tonight, but we might go to dinner. I will probably try to get to the grocery store as well.
DD is cheering at a game at 9:00 am tomorrow and then DS's football game is right after, at 10:30. I'm happy that DS has a home game so that I can watch both kids and not miss anything (like the last 2 weeks when DS had away games). After the games we need to catch up on chores and I want to clean up some clutter.
Sunday is church and then later on we have small group at our house.
PDQ I’ll delete that whole thing at some point. It’s gone..
Tonight is date night. Movie and dinner. Should be fun. Probably need to reconnect. We’ve sort of just been existing in the same space for the past few months because of work, kids, puppy, and DH taking his masters classes.
Tomorrow is riding lesson for the youngest and birthday party for the oldest. And I have to finish scraping wallpaper out of the guest bathroom. Note to everyone, wallpaper sucks, never put it up, the people who live in you house later will curse you. .
Sunday we have no plans. I will probably still be scraping wallpaper. Most of it I steamed off, but there’s just little sections mostly near things like outlets and the trim and ceiling that need extra attention.

I’m getting my hair cut and colored this afternoon so I’m only in the office this morning. I took a sick day yesterday both to deal with DD’s eye doc appt and new glasses and because my stomach was a mess. My group has had a stomach virus running through it, so it was either that or vestiges of the migraine I’ve had the last 3 mornings. So I feel really behind.
Tomorrow is an open day. We need to clean our house. Sunday we have two birthday parties back to back, one for each kid.
In good news, I’m the grade coordinator for our annual fund for the kids’ school. Yesterday was the kickoff and we raised over $200,000!

TGIF! It's been so busy at work this week since half our group is at the same conference I went to last week. I'm ready for a break!
After work, I'm going out to dinner with Beau. We'll spend the weekend together, minus the time I go to DS's soccer game tomorrow. We have tickets to a concert and I booked a room at the casino where the concert is so we don't have to worry about driving after having a few drinks. We don't have any other plans since it's supposed to be rainy and I'm still getting over my cold.

Oh crap I just realized that the girls and I have eye doc appointments tomorrow too. Middle kid says she can’t see the board and her eye test at the pedi last week was getting up there for myopia. So probably she’s getting glasses. I also got glasses in 5th and my eyesight deteriorated quickly thereafter. Thank goodness for PRK surgery in 2008 for me.

mrsGreeko, agree on wallpaper. My mom loved wallpaper growing up, and I remember how awful it was to help take off the old wallpaper. When we were house hunting back in 2011, houses were off the list if they had wallpaper. I did make an exception for the house we bought, because I loved the house enough to overlook that there was wallpaper in only the small half bath on the main floor, but I haven't wanted to make the effort to remove it yet (8 years later).

Yeah the only wallpaper in this house was the basement bedroom and bathroom. We’ve been here exactly 11 years and I finally decided to take it down. Mostly it went easy, it’s just these stupid little bits by the trim and stuff that are annoying as hell. And in the meantime my basement is completely torn apart.
I have a girl's wine tasting trip planned for tomorrow. I also have such terrible allergies that drinking is the last thing I want to do and I'm 100% sure nothing will actually taste good. If I hadn't already shelled out the cash for it, I'd probably back out.

I leave for a work conference on Sunday. I hate missing a weekend day with the kids, but...it's at this beautiful boutique hotel surrounded by forests and has a Michelin 2 star hotel on site, so there's that to look forward to. It's a round-table discussion format of select "top lawyers" in our industry, and I'm very paranoid that I'd have nothing useful to add.
There was a huge water main break on the edge of my city this morning. It was so big that several school districts cancelled school due to no water. The rest of that side of town, including my suburb, is under a boil-water advisory. Of course you don't realize how much you use water until you have to boil it all the time. No word on when it will be repaired.
DS1 has soccer practice tonight. Tomorrow DS1 has a soccer game in the morning. Then we'll attend our community day. There will be a parade, games, bands, and food. On Sunday, we're heading to my parents' house for my niece's birthday party. At some point, I need to get a 7 mile run done.
It was a long week! I felt like I was at the kids’ school more than I was anywhere else this week, between 1.5 days of the book fair and curriculum nights. This afternoon DD2 has a play date, so I will listen to DD1 complain about how unfair her life is because her friends weren’t around.
Tomorrow DD2 has 2 soccer games, and then DD1 will have a friend over to swim.
Sunday will be in the 80’s, so DH will rig up a TV outside so that we can watch football while the kids swim. DH leaves for a week long trip on Monday morning so I’m hoping we can relax a bit before he goes.
Add me in to thankful for Friday. I just want to sleep. My alarm at 5:30 has been jarring me out of bed.
Plans are up in the air tonight. I will be dropping one or 2 kids off at the football game. I was hoping that DH and I could do something fun, but I just talked to him and he seems to be in a mood. I really don't want to go to the game.
We have gloriously nothing planned this weekend besides the normal running, church, etc., for which I am grateful since last weekend almost did me in. DS has a tryout for some archery team tomorrow, but I am volleying that one to DH, that's more his thing.
I took today off which was productive as DH was also off. We had a coffee and lunch date, worked more on our finances, did some errands. I did some cleaning and he is doing laundry. I went to the doctor and she thought it was a yeast infection so hopefully the diflucan kicks in soon. Kids just got off the bus. DS has cub scouts tonight.
Tomorrow is soccer for 3 hours! DS has a double header since I’ll be watching with DD maybe we will leave early ish.
Sunday I have to work and the cub scouts are doing their rocket launch.
Next weekend is the Cub Scout camp out, so hopefully after that it will settle down because I also have Girl Scout stuff happening.
Is it unethical to put my fall product Girl Scout stuff out, or do I have to wait for the “sale date” which is Oct 1? We have a quota ugh, so I am doing work for that and a table for popcorn sales and calling it a day. Doing the medium or least is my motto. I ain’t got time for too much else.

I’m so over work right now. Everyone is eating crackers for me and I’m done. I have way too much to do though. Only 3 more miserable weeks hopefully. I’m burnt out.
This weekend should hopefully be chill. We have church and soccer and dh is prepping for the race next weekend. I have some work to do but don’t want to think about it.
I guess I was really exhausted as after i took DD to school i came home and went back to bed and didn't surface until noon. Then I did some painting and chilled until pick up. Sitting at the gym now for another couple hours. Saturday is chores. DD is going to parents night out. Sunday weather is expected to be crappy so I'm thinking pj day.
I got lucky, I had finally caught up with the chaos and my workload on Thursday afternoon and it held, so I went out this morning and took some project photos and generally just had a “brainless” day for the rest of my time in the office, just what I needed. Now DH and I are drinking a lovely Grenache wine for international Grenache day. Tomorrow until about 2 is full of soccer games and then the weekend opens up. We’re trying to decide whether to have some neighbors over or keep it low key. Nothing specific on Sunday.

I worked from home on Friday because the kid's school was closed - the day after everything flooded. Oh well.
I took them to the office and got some work and came home and worked most of the day. But while I was working I realized that my cat with stomach cancer hasn't had a loose bowel in a while because he hasn't been eating. He didn't eat all day, barely ate some tuna I offered him, and drank water from a cup. Under his fluff he was skin and bones. I called H and he took him to the vet and they put him down. It's been a long time coming but it caught me off guard.
Saturday I'm meeting up with a classmate friend of DS' and we're going to the train museum. Kind of a big play date outing to do something I'd never even heard of so I hope it's fun. I'm sure it will be.
Saturday night we have dinner with H's family since his brother is in town. Then Sunday I have my long run, errands, swim lessons. A getting stuff done kind of day.
