My bedroom is a good size. I have a handmade wooden frame with matching nightstands. There is one mattress, which isn’t normally a thing in Germany (they usually have two mattresses side by side in the same frame). There is one comforter, which isn’t a thing here either. SO would like to get two comforters, one for each person. There is also a top sheet underneath the comforter, which SO hates. I have to order sheets from the UK because they don’t make the size I like. Lots of pillows with the European style pillows. There is an ottoman bench at the end of the bed which I use for storage.
No closets as they don’t have them here, so I have the Ikea PAX wardrobes, about 5 of them against one wall. No curtains as they have outside blinds that I can roll down. The blinds are for windows that take up one wall. I have a mirror on the wall that is from some designer around here. The light fixture is from Ikea and I have two other stand lights. The walls are white with no pictures, but I’ll change that soon. Tile floors. It’s pretty minimal. If I could PIP, then I’d post a photo.
Those of you with chairs in your bedroom, are they just decorative? Are they ever used really?
our are rarely used. They were holdovers from our old house with no other place to put them. While theoretically we would like a seating area around the fireplace the set up doesn’t really work. We will eventually get rid of the chairs and get a nice dresser or something there instead.
We have a tiny bedroom. Our 2 bedroom house is under 900 sq feet. We have a bed and two nightstands. Our lights are pendants because we have no room. Instead is having anything hanging on the walls, we added the room trim. We also custom made our bed to have drawers in the base. It’s my favorite piece of furniture. I love what you did! I do have some under bed storage but it is not built in. Our house is almost 100sq ft and also a 2 br. I think it’s 10x 12 and we have a King size bed. We have lived here 2.5 years and still have not quite finished with it.
We have a king size too. Bed size was more important to us than anything else. So it takes up most of the bees but we are okay with that!

It's in what used to be our attic so it has slanted walls. It's pretty cozy in the winter. I chose the wall color and my husband chose the furniture. He is super into craftsman style furniture and does woodworking as a hobby. He actually built the nightstands and one of the bookcases himself

We have a Ikea queen-sized bed, and mismatched dressers. One is H's from childhood, two (one tall dresser, one long dresser) are from a matching set that my aunt handed down to me when she bought a new set. I also have a lingerie chest of drawers that I store makeup, skincare, and haircare products in.
No rugs, just a dog bed on the floor. We have a family portrait hanging in the wall over our bed, and a photo art print of some labs lounging on beach chairs on the opposite wall from Loose Leashes Photography www.looseleashes.com/.
My bedroom is a hodgepodge of old furniture and IKEA/Target furniture. Two bookshelves that are 23+ years old, bed frame and dresser from IKEA and a nightstand from my Aunt's mom so that's at least 35 years old. A red bench from Target. And our queen size Leesa mattress which we love. In addition to all that are broken things: 1 broken fan, 1 broken lamp and 1 broken printer. And two rolled up area rugs for when we replace carpet with flooring downstairs next summer. The colors are blue, green, yellow and red (mostly in the blanket on our bed that my aunt made). The sheets and blackout curtains are blue. Every other room in the house looks pretty good. Our bedroom is kind of a dumping ground.
The frame, bedside tables, and dresser are all from IKEA. All white. Our bedroom walls are a soft yellow. The trim, closet doors, and wood blinds are also white. Some family photos are on the wall and we have a TV on the dresser.
I change up our duvet and pillows if I want to add color. Currently, I have a white and blue patterned duvet and blue pillows.
We will probably be putting this furniture into our guest room soon and getting a King bed. I think I will probably still stick with all white again. The room is really light, bright, and clean looking.

It's a dark cave of chaos. Lots of Black Ikea stuff, gray and peacock colored walls with matching curtains. It currently looks like my closet and dresser got into a fight and started launching their contents at each other.

Ours is also very large but with a huge sliding glass door that makes for awkward space. I don’t love the color as much as I hoped I would. It’s the lighter version of what we had in our old house master bedroom that we loved. I didn’t want to get too saturated but feel like we ended up with a kinda just okay room. We redid the fireplace tile and light so I do love those. the missing wall has the matching ikea dresser and double door entry on it.

We are in an apt so plain white walls. We have a big king bed (no headboard or anything) with a long window above it, and a tufted ottoman at the end, as well as a small bench against the wall. D's guitars and amps are along one wall and we have a huge clock with Roman numerals beside our bed. It is a good sized room but not very decorated. We would like to do some more but I don't know what.
We have a dark wood bed frame and white ikea night stands and dresser. I'll add a chair to the right of the sliding glass door. To the left of this picture is a basic master bath and walk in closet.
It anybody has a nice bedroom paint color suggestion I'm all ears.
We have a king waterbed with a light wood headboard and sides. Furniture is 2 bedside tables, 2 dressers and a chest. We have hardwood floors that are also light, with a Turkish carpet we bought on vacation at the end of the bed. The colors in the carpet are white, beige, blue and green and the walls and bedding are some permutation of those colors. In summer, we have a quilt on the bed, winter a duvet.
We have a slider that leads to the deck, and 2 windows. They have light blocking blinds in a linen like fabric on them. It is a clean, uncluttered look if we cleared up all the clutter. Both DH and I are bad about that.

Do you have a bathroom up there? I think we discussed years ago about how my house is almost identical to yours. We are thinking of converting the attic (finished but originally for a servant and then later teenaged boys) into the master and trying to figure out how to add a bathroom up there. But the eaves make it hard for me to picture how to do it without some kind of addition.

yup. The harder thing for us was getting sufficient air conditioning up there because it gets hot in the summer and my H doesn't like window units. We ended up with a split system.

Our bedroom is in the attic so our bed is in the peaked room part. It makes it feel very cozy. Our furniture is a set we got maybe 10 years ago, but I still love it and it is in great shape still. We have a queen size mission bed (would love a king but it won’t fit) with two nightstands, a traditional chest of drawers for my husband and a traditional dresser for me. We have a bench at the foot of the bed. There is one small closet in the bedroom they my husband uses and I use the bigger closet in the larger open space outside of our room. We have a full bathroom with shower only up here. We also have an office that we are converting to a walk in closet this spring. This floor is 100% ours alone as the kids’ bedrooms and our new home office are on the second floor. We call it our sanctuary and I love it. We have a Berber carpet all throughout the attic, save the bathroom, which I’m hoping to replace in the spring. Our furniture is light oak and the walls are painted a very pale cream. It’s peaceful.

Ours is very similar! We also have a split system for air and heat.

I’m actually redecorating it. We inherited an area rug that clashes with the walls so I’m taking this opportunity to redo the room. It was never great, I’m hoping I get it right this time.
We’ll keep the padded charcoal bed and our dressers, add a closet, possibly add panel molding, and I’m not sure about curtains. I’ll be sure to pip when it’s done (in like 2 yrs lol). And I might add recessed lighting above the headboard.

Someone once walked into my bedroom and said it was the physical representation of me....and I don't know if that is good or bad. But anyway, it's very girly, all ivory, pink and gold. There is a valuted tray ceiling painted a very light pink. The walls are cream with cream velvet curtains. I have a gold campaign bed with an ivory velvet headboard. The side tables and dresser are ash. There is a large bay window to one side and that has two tan chairs and a table in it. There is a pink bench at the bottom of the bed. The only thing I don't love about it is that it is also currently home to two dog crates because our dogs are pack animals and also can't be trusted to just sleep uncrated in our room at night.

My bedroom suite is American Drew. The bed is a sleigh bed, and the furniture is a simple Shaker style in medium stain. This is my "forever" bedroom set most likely; it's built for a lifetime. (Before this I had a random "pecan style color" bedroom set from the 1980s that my mom gave me when I moved out after college.) The bed sits along the west wall along with 2 nightstands. The longer, lower dresser is on the south wall. The taller dresser is on the east wall next to the sliding glass door. There is a laundry catcher (aka upholstered chair in a random burgundy color that I've had since about 1995--it will get recovered at some point) in the corner. The wall is painted a taupe with grey undertones. Artwork above the bed is two black and white horse "drawings." I remember seeing them at TJ Maxx several years ago but not wanting to pay $75/each. I picked them up on a local Facebook exchange for $10 total a year and a half ago. The only other piece of art in the bedroom is a print of Paris that is 11x14 and have no idea where it came from. The floors are original red oak hardwood in a medium stain.
The north wall has the door for the walk-in closet. It's pretty big for an older home. There is a small en-suite bathroom with a good sized shower, commode, and vanity. The bathroom has green and white tile from around 2001 that I would love to replace if I could afford it. The vanity is a shabby chic white. Not really my style, but it works. The top is white cultured marble that looks good w/the vanity.
Linens: The curtains are brand new from Wayfair. These in blue that replaced brown Dupioni silk curtains that I loved when I got them over a decade ago: bit.ly/2NDjX04 Sheets (several sets in various shades of cream/white) www.peachskins.com Accent rug: bit.ly/2kMmvgu

DH already has a plan for air conditioning up there based on what our neighbors all have
Like a hot mess, lol. We sold our bedroom set when we moved last year, because it was getting old/junky looking anyway and we couldn't fit it in our moving pod so we had to get rid of something. So far, all we've replaced it with is a white Ikea dresser (which I actually do really like) and two mismatched, old, cheap Ikea end tables as night stands. We have a queen sized bed that doesn't even have a frame, it's just a mattress and mattress base (what is that called?) on the floor. We also have a white cabinet that serves basically no purpose but is in too good of a condition to get rid of, we just don't have anywhere else to put it and don't need it right now. It used to store stuff in my kitchen in a former rental.
I honestly don't care that much about the bedroom. Maybe someday when we're more stable I'll want to actually make it a nice space, but right now we basically only sleep in there and occasionally watch a movie, so I haven't put any effort into making it a place we want to hang out. It also tends to be cluttered because I'll throw stuff there that doesn't have a better place just to get it out of my sight.
We do have an exposed brick wall, which is nice. And a few pictures on the walls. I love my duvet cover and related throw pillows, but during the summer months I never use any of them and often don't make the bed in the winter either.

When we moved this summer we actually got all matching furniture for our room. I feel like a grown up lol. The bed and nightstands have USB ports in them. To the left is an en-suite and master closet. We put our computer in our room because the spare room is my office with my work computer and there wasn’t a good space anywhere else for it, so the bay window worked out. The lighting is terrible but the walls are light blue and the bedspread is gray. I need to get some fuschia or darker blue shams for the bed to add some more color and bring in the bigger pillow colors a bit. Furniture is dark brown.
I was trying for a tranquil, breezy look. I'll take a picture after the cleaner wraps up today. We have light gray walls, dark gray carpeting, white furniture (IKEA, baby), and then teal/turquoise/blue bedding. We just use sheers for curtains, as our windows look out on our woods, and we're a walk-out, so they're effectively 2nd story windows. No worries about peepers, unless you're worried about squirrels.
It's not quite finished - we have some touch up paint we need to fix in the corner, and I have more pictures/art to hang.
