I had posted in a randoms thread last week that he was having surgery to have a brain tumor removed. It was such a whirlwind. He went to the hospital for a headache, they did an MRI and within days he was scheduled for surgery. The preliminary pathology report came back that it is a Low Grade Glioma which is what we were hoping for, kind of best case scenario given the possibilities. He's actually going home today! He still has a long road ahead of him recovery-wise, he's only able to walk very short distances unassisted right now, but he'll be getting at home therapy. He's a strong and healthy 16 year old kid, so we're hopeful that his recovery will be swift.
Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers last week, it really meant so much to me and my family.
I missed the OP, but a low grade glioma is great news! I also had a low grade glioma removed. I’ve since ,made a full recovery. It was a hard road, but can be done! Feel free to Pm if you have specific questions I can help with
