I'm supposed to get a flu shot at work on Thursday but just came down with a head cold. On the form I had to fill out beforehand, there was something on there about "I don't feel sick or have a fever," so I wasn't sure if I should still get it. I've Googled, and everything I've read said it's OK as long as you don't have a fever but it may take longer to get over your cold.
We scheduled these appointments through our school secretary and then people from the local hospital are coming to actually administer them, so I don't really have a way to get in touch with the people giving the shot ahead of time. I suppose it wouldn't be a big deal to just show up at my appointment time and ask them and they could turn me away if need be. Just thought I would see if anyone has experience with this.
I would ask. It's likely your immune system is already working hard/under the weather due to the cold and it's going to get attacked again by the vaccine, so you'll probably feel crummy. I'm not sure if they're afraid it will not create the appropriate antibody response because it's already creating cold antibodies? I'm not a medical professional.

I ended up opting to not get it because I started feeling even worse yesterday with a cough, etc. I decided I would just rather wait until I felt well.
