I’m so bad at choosing window treatments. Our bedrooms all have boring varying shades of gray room darkening curtains from Amazon and the standard 2” white wood blinds.
Our family room needs something though and I’d like it to not be lame. Two pictures below. We have two high triangular windows on the back wall—those will stay as-is with nothing on them.
The sun basically sets at the right corner of the room, so in the evening the window to the right of the fireplace and the French doors let in a ton of light. We just replaced those French doors—the old ones had wood blinds over the glass.
So I’m trying to figure out if I should just put new white wood blinds on the doors or put some kind of curtains around the doors and other two windows. The French doors won’t get opened a ton, as we have French doors in our eat-in kitchen that tend to be the main route to the back patio/yard.
DH likes all of the light and openness, which I don’t disagree with. But I’d also like to be able to control light a bit.
