We love our King and don’t have a ton of space around it. I wouldn’t say it’s exactly cramped but we basically have room for a nightstand on either side of the bed. We co-sleep and have a ton of kids plus I sleep better alone lol! Those are major factors in my love of the bed.

King for life. It’s amazing. There is no law that says if you have a king you can’t scoot to the middle of the bed to cuddle. But you also have the option of spreading out which leads to way better sleep for us. Even if we moved to a place with a tiny master I’d squeeze it in.

We have a California King. My H is 6'5" and what we really needed when we upgraded our mattress was length. The cal kings are longer than the traditional king, but not quite as wide. It's still bigger than a queen. If you need more bed space but are worried about fitting it in your room, one of these might be worth looking into.
I will say, I have a harder time finding sheets. The selection in stores is almost nonexistent, I have to buy online. But I love our bed so very much. To me, it's worth it.
I’m 5’9” and my DH is 6’5”. We have always had a king and been very comfortable. When we stay in hotels it’s generally two queens - one for us, one for the kids and honestly we’ve had no problems. Maybe it depends more on what kind of sleeper you are and whether or not you move around a lot?
Huh. I'm happy in a queen (in a small master). I don't think a king would solve my #1 husband sleep annoyance--he is sometimes so noisy in his sleep (talking,* sighing, even lightly snoring). What helps me is earplugs and what would really solve my issue is separate bedrooms. Ha.
*I swear to you there are days when he talks more asleep than awake. It's bizarre.
