You guys probably don’t remember, but there was a little girl in DS’s class who was horrible to him last year and this year. Her worst things were telling other kids they couldn’t play with DS and telling him he was stupid. He told us he hoped his brain would get smart soon so she would quit calling him stupid, which broke my heart. I was determined to find a way to get her out of the school (small, private, tons of kids don’t make the jump from kinder to 1st because they aren’t good fits or because their parents put them in public school).
Well, as my grandma used to say, sometimes the trash takes itself out. DS told us this week that his teacher had to take her name off her cubby because she isn’t coming back to school. I wasn’t sure if that was true, so I asked a mom who is very tuned in, and she confirmed that about 2 weeks ago the little girl was withdrawn from the school, no explanations and no idea what school her mom was putting her in.
I’m so relieved. Part of me hopes the teacher told her mom what a psychopath she is at parent-teacher conferences and her mom got pissed and took her out because of that. Her withdrawal exactly lined up with conferences, so it’s plausible. She was a totally out of control spoiled brat, so it wouldn’t surprise me.

mommyatty So glad your DS will no longer have to deal with that type of harassment at school. I hope the little girl ends up at a school where she can get some help for her behavior.
My TWERK is that DH didn't put something on the calendar for tomorrow so I have to reschedule my car appointment again. Him not putting stuff on the calendar is a regular problem. Usually I would just make him deal with the issue, but if I do that tomorrow that would mean DS1 missing his first basketball practice. So instead of taking the car to the dealer myself tomorrow morning, I get to take the car and all three kids today after DS3's nap. It's going to be...fun. On top of that, the service department won't recognize my login so I was able to schedule online for today, but cannot cancel the one for tomorrow. I was trying to avoid calling (my kids always choose when I am on the phone to be banshees) and now have no choice.
I'm pretty sure DD has norovirus the same one that closed a school district 45 minutes north of us. So no Thanksgiving meal for us and a very quiet weekend at home with a sick kid. She says she is feeling better today but is refusing to eat. Any tricks to making pedialyte taste better that isn't making it into a margarita?

I'm starting to freak out. We only have 3 weeks until we leave for our trip which means 3 weeks to pack and get ready and get ready for Christmas.
I already have swim classes (Sunday), dance class (Monday), Girl Scouts (Tuesday) and Basketball (Thursday) several weeks in a row. Should I cancel everything else? This weekend is just swim class I could decorate. But next weekend is Breakfast with Santa and DH's work party. I also have 2 birthday parties, and am thinking I should RSVP no to both of them. DH is also traveling that week. And I have mom's night out. The following weekend nothing on Sat, but I work Sunday, and then we leave for our trip. So basically, I have 3 free days in 3 weeks and this Sat and Sun are 2 of them, so yeah thinking I need to RSVP no to that other birthday party too. I already paid for mom's night out and Breakfast with Santa, and the swim classes/ dance. And I already RSVPed to the Girl Scout stuff although it is not a petal meeting, so I suppose I could say no to one or both of those. Ahh my schedule is getting out of control.
I just changed my RSVP for the GS to no for one event. There is no reason we need to have 2 holiday parties with the GS, and they are already having one at their meeting. Not to mention we got invited to a 3rd from a sister troop, and for a service project both on the day we travel. NO. We do not need to do 4 things with GS in 3 weeks in the month of Dec. Come on people!
